I'm trying my best not to go full on doomer-mode, but I don't think I've ever been more anxious than now.

It feels wrong to have not initially put some silver linings here, so it's not all doom and gloom:
- Most states with abortions on the referendum have passed them (shoutout to my home state of MO for saying yes on 3)
- The first trans congresswoman has been elected

- If the US were to become a dictatorship, it is economically and politically unsustainable and would likely flip back to a democracy (see cgpgrey's "Rules for Rulers" for my general reasoning)

ive generally felt really unmotivated to work on the wiki in recent times, kinda bc of irl stuff but also bc ive just generally grown to not find as much fun in editing the wiki. i wont be resigning and i will make some edits from time to time but itll be at a far slower frequency and itll also be a lot more minor unless exceptions arise

so if you see any problems with the wiki, the main thing id encourage you to do is to learn editing the wiki. while some parts are really extensive the basics are easy to grasp imo (though im probably biased here) and it also helps solves the issue of people saying the wiki is outdated and it also beats out fandom in googles search results

tldr: i am no longer THE wiki man, the real THE wiki person is inside each of you all along

i didn't feel like it implied that tbh, but it doesn't outright say something incorrect so it's prolly fine... too bad the wiki is RUINED because of this though. sigh

but just because it follows all these doesn't make it inherently a good flag
