World Show Combat Level By Default. [ Now In Game, But Better.]

It does matter. Nobody cares about what your total level is, especially since people who don't level professions (like half of the community) still get 12 extra levels for free on the total level stat which makes it totally confusing. Most people might look at someone with total level 40 in chat and think they actually are level 40, while in reality they're only level 20 with level 9 in woodcutting or something. It also took me a while to notice that you could toggle this or see the regular level when hovering over a player's level in chat. It's this confusion that makes me feel that you might as well not show off levels at all if you're not showing combat level.

Then there's the fact that profession levels are a lot less relevant or telling than combat levels since combat level says a lot about what you can do in the game compared to total level. It's just more convenient to instantly see combat level in chat as opposed to profession level

 

then fix the extra twelve levels or smth lul

or maybe make it a personal thing

Some people have not seemed to realise that this isn’t a big thing. This is literally just flipping a feature, we aren’t removing total level, we aren’t doing anything. All this idea would do is make it easier for people, just yesterday u found a guy who hated seeing his total level and didn’t know you could change it. Even if this gets declined, it should at least be information somewhere rather than something you will only find by looking. I looked, the poll has 100+ votes and only 7 say no.

here is the thing, to you people who oppose this, literally just... do the same thing as usual? You want to see full level? Just freaking toggle it then. Just know a lot more people DONT use it, and we aren’t stopping anyone from using it.

Hey! I would like to thank everyone for there support.
As of the newest patch in hero beta, it's in game! But better!
It seems Salted, or someone else, saw the thread, and decied to make it display both, and not one or the other!
Well I'm off to celebrate.

 

I personally think players should have a healthbar and combat level above their heads. This would help mages know when to heal them during a boss fight and would also show the combat level.

 

Not trying to be a ass, but this needs to be its own thread, as this thread should already be closed imo

 

Not sure if that will happen, but I wonder if new players will be confused when they see two different levels near their name in the chat.
But it's still an improvement.

ParkourTNT talked about some obscure things in the game that many players don't know about (to emphasize the point of how Wynncraft can be unclear on things) and talked about the /compass command, which is actually only a Wynntils feature.
