Extended storage in some form needs to be added due to the Economy Update adding a lot of new items. So yeah, I don't think bags to store Emeralds or bags to store Ingredients + Materials would be bad. Its a perfectly valid solution to a jarring lack of inventory space in comparison to the sheer amount of items that can fill your bag; the only reason this doesn't affect me nearly as much is because I play Mage and mages don't need potions.

One argument against extra inventory space is that you have the Bank, a place where you can store most of your loot and miscellaneous garbage, but what if you just want to adventure without constantly visiting a town every few hours? It starts to get frustrating that way, the inventory gets crammed way too quickly. I recently invited a friend to play Wynncraft, and after an hour or so of messing around with crafting and gathering, he decided that it was a useless system and threw away all ingredient items he obtained to make space for emeralds and other gear. The whole crafting and gathering system is avoided by most players because of the grind (repetitive, time consuming) as well as the inconvenience. (hogging up inventory space)

When you are looting a chest and see 3-star ingredients, you are going to avoid taking them, mainly because you don't want the item to waste one entire slot of inventory space. This is a huge issue, and even Runescape, the game Wynncraft takes most MMO inspiration from, doesn't have this issue.

Emeralds take up inventory space quickly, especially once you get to higher levels, as mobs become higher levelled, they also drop more emeralds, which also takes up more inventory space, leading to you limiting the amount of slots for emeralds, leading to earning less money from monsters (in comparison to the level you are at), leading to you needing to take more trips to the closest bank. You see where I am getting? Having small inventory space isn't a fun challenge, it is very UN-fun.

i think these arguments would have some big flaws or have some things i havent taken into consideration, so it would be nice to see a counterargument to this
