Add A Bag For Ingredients.

I don't think it's too niche btw. Other potential bags could hold potions or emeralds only, but I think an ingredient bag wouldn't be too niche. It would help with the clutter quite a bit.

 

We don’t need bags for every single thing either. It over-complicates a system.

 

I meant in place of ingredient bags if it's too niche.

 

Still...
we have enough space as is. Even with my Air archer, which requires a lot of health pots to survive, I have enough space to carry both pots, weapons, and have space for grind drops.

You thought I wouldn't do it, did you? Shoutouts to @TrueThaumaturge for the questionable honor of having the first full-fledged backpack suggestion.
Also, might I add, I found zero suggestions wanting to get the Shoutbox deleted in my travel through 300+ pages of suggestions.

I would say no, grinding and banking is just a key element of the game, and backpacks would just make it too easy in my opinion.

Just because something is popular doesn’t mean it’s wanted, trust me.
Housing, like backpacks is a very vocal minority. Look at any housing thread and see how most of the playerbase reacts to it (spoiler: not positively).

 

Also he literally said it's for ingredients only, so lootruninng wouldn't be too big an issue

 

If you read the whole thread, you can see that having it solely for ingredients isn’t worth the hassle (I explain this in a different post) so the logical change to it is making it open to all items. That’s where the problem comes in.

 

Personally I think it should be for emeralds and ingredients, just not items and resources. Personally I would go even further and say that you should have infinite carrying space for emeralds and ingredients (but a new kick timer for inactive people should come into effect)

 

Oh god no! That would nullify the entirety of the Ironman Challenge. We don’t need all that space. And if you are-for some ungodly reason-are that overcluttered, you need to learn organization skills and not hoard everything.

If I may put in my two cents, I think that backpacks shouldn't be added for either normal items or ingredients. There's too much of those on lootruns, normal playing and other places to make them actually change up things a lot; you're going to have to still go back to the bank, even if it's only twice instead of three times.

What I think backpacks could do, is be an excuse and solution for the weight system for materials at the same time. The way it works now fills up your inventory a lot at lower levels and, although only slightly at higher levels, it's still a nuisance to have the weight system block you from filling up your inventory. A bag or backpack as the only place for materials to go would actually make a lot of sense, and be a great QoL addition.

 

To be honest it seems like it could work, but needs a few limitations. First, I think there should be a limit of one bag per person, but it can be upgraded as you progress, giving you more space. Second, it should only be able to be used for ingredients, nothing else. Finally, it should not be allowed for the ironman challenge. Thanks for the idea =)
