World War Scream

    idea: change war scream so that instead of directly buffing the players stats, it debuffs enemies in the range of the initial AoE in terms of attack and defense, as well as gives the player and nearby players a brief speed boost (speed 2, 20-30 secs) to assist warrior in dealing with shitty ranged enemies

    this solves the problem of war scream saying "fuck you" to bash and charge's damage and defense bonus, as in its current state, it effectively cancels out both bonuses, making it as though they might as well not exist.

    this debuff could be visually shown with a particle effect. i won't go into detail here since it's not the main point of the rework.

    anyway, that's it. please leave feedback.

    I would agree with this under the conditions that making the warscream buff stack with the charge/bash buff is mechanically impossible or implausible for the ct right now. I would really like to be able to take advantage of the buffs while still being able to use warscream, but I would prefer war scream staying a buff as well

    Surprised so many people have voted yes on this tbh, as a warrior main the extra defense and attack is very useful during boss battles and I don't really think giving him speed would fit into the class at all. Thanks for suggesting tho

    If it doesn't buff warrior it's irrelevent, effectively by decreasing their attack and defence you're increasing yours elements aside so basically your suggestion is "give Warrior a speed boost", which doesn't fit in with what a warrior does in the slightest

    except it's completely relevant. at the moment, war scream completely negates the 50% damage boost you can get from bash, as well as the 50% defense boost you get from charge, heavily decreasing the capabilities to which warrior can deal damage and tank.
    the speed boost makes sense because, as i have been told by many, warrior suffers against groups of ranged mobs much more than any other class. having a speed boost allows warrior to more easily manually dodge projectiles and actually approach enemies.

    what exactly is your point lol.
    if you are gonna disagree with a point at least do some research on it, and do not hate as it is getting support rightfully for a good cause. the suggestion does actually benefit warrior, so please don't just randomly try to start a war

    No, that is a fair point actually and I do understand where you're coming from there. Heavens, I remember when warrior could only attack ONE enemy at a time lol, that was even worse. Personally I wouldn't like a speed boost from war scream, maybe charge could go further and cost one less perhaps (?) I don't agree with you but I do understand where you're coming from thanks for further explaining.

    I'm debating not arguing, it never got heated and it never even began to get into the dreaded "war" stage. My point is that I think war scream should remain the same and maybe charge could be changed (didn't mention that before) I think Warrior needs to be given more damage if anything, I don't find mobility to be toooo much of an issue. You have to remember Wynncraft team designed it that way for a reason, sure it doesn't have to stay the same and can change not as drastically as this imo. This is my opinion and if you don't agree with it then tough lol

    doesn't help deal with ranged mobs at all, which was the main reason i suggested a speed boost.

    shaman, mage, and archer all have the ranged damage needed to deal with ranged mobs effectively while assassin has vanish to single them out and eliminate them while approaching safely.

    i believe that if everything worked ideally, warrior could charge in, hit the mobs with charge, gaining the defense boost, and use its AoE to deal with them while avoiding taking too much damage via manually dodging. however, a combination of the war scream issue + the lack of warrior's ability to actually avoid the projectiles manually without external help from a build (+ws%) severely limits its ability to actually do this.

    Well, I meant it in the sense of getting closer to them quicker instead of like dodging the bullets. Maybe they could just buff Warrior's defense against projectiles but I think that may be quite hard to balance and implement. So effectively (if I understand) you want charge to have war shout's old ability and for war shout to be like Archer's escape in its effect

    charge already has a defense bonus when hitting enemies, a significant 50% bonus like i said before. nobody notices it though because it's overridden by war scream. i never said i wanted charge to have war scream's ability.

    rather than like escape, i want war scream to be a general combat booster. it makes enemies take more damage, deal less, and gives the user and other nearby players speed to assist in combat. even though they would both give speed--should my change be implemented--the purpose of war scream and escape would be drastically different because of the differences between the classes. archer uses its speed to avoid enemies and attack from a safe distance. warrior uses its speed so it can dodge projectiles and approach safely. speed isn't a universal factor, it affects everything differently based on the fundamentals of that class.

    How about instead of changing Warscream like this (and killing melee Warrior significantly) the Bash and Charge boosts get changed like this, to apply their effects to hit mobs? After all, even ignoring the Warscream clash, Bash and Charge boosts are pretty terrible.

    I'm far more about this.
    Even then, yes, I would agree they both don't solve any issues.
    I've already talked about the bash change, I literally have no idea why it was added.
    Charge, on the other hand, I kinda wanted to guess it was for something like invincibility frames, but I'm not sure about that.
