Yet would people even know that there was a rule change? I know a ton of people ingame who dont use the forums or are in the discord (that I know of). They would see the rules ingame, or even on the forums. and think that's all. They have no idea that there are unlisted rules that have been implemented, and are only listed on the discord. I personally support the no spoiler rule, but imo the staff needs to do a much better job of letting people who dont use the forums or discord know of rule changes.

TLDR: you shouldnt have to be in the community platforms (or at least the discord) to know something as fundamental as a full list of rules.

LOL so you’re telling me that staff shouldn’t make the effort to inform players about something that would benefit the player base and better yet keep them from getting banned.

Generally speaking: Wouldn't it be good to have an easy and effective way to tell every player on the server when new rules are added? Wouldn't that improve everyones experience if all players are (almost) instantly up-to-date and obey all rules? You are basically saying every Wynn player has to use discord/forums to be allowed to play the game. I'm sure Wynn staff doesn't agree with that policy since it definitely discourages new players.
Btw: I don't know what you are actually arguing for? I think nobody would feel bad about a feature that reminds the entire playerbase of Wynn to respect new rules - not just those who use forums. Also an in-game reminder of new rules also makes it easier for GMs to punish misconducts in the first days/weeks of a new rule since the excuse "Ah sorry, didn't check forums yet" wouldn't work anymore.

Actually, it is their job to do that. If people aren't well informed about the rules, the server needs to make it so they are. What you are saying is basically the same as a company complaining nobody knows about them when their marketing sucks, shouldn't the people just find out about the company themselves? You can't expect the whole playerbase to join a discord server where nothing usually happens. And since when is criticizing people for their work disrespectful.
Almost every time something changes or gets added to the game, it's on both the forums and discord, so wouldn't it make sense if people only use the forums or only use discord to keep track of updates?

It's also pretty funny that the person complaining about someone's English is the person who doesn't use capital letters.

My two cents on this matter. I think that this rule is good. It allows people who haven’t seen the movie yet for whatever reason a chance to go and see the movie. I’ll be honest. I haven’t seen the movie yet and I’ve barely gotten any spoilers. Yes, I use the internet a lot. The real problem with this rule is that it should be common sense to not give out spoilers to people who don’t want it, but it actually isn’t, and this rule has never been broadcasted in Wynncraft from what I’ve heard. Rules that are common sense such as no hacking, no glitching, and no harassing others don’t need to be said to everyone, but I think rules that aren’t common sense should be put in game somehow so that everyone can see it. (Yes, I know that common sense can be wildly discussed, but it’s a starting point.)

I think i'm starting to agree with your points a little (besides the one about capital letters). If what you're saying is that even though we do have the information at our fingertips, its the staff's job to make it even more obvious, that can be debated, but I'm starting to agree with the notion that perhaps not everyone is on discord. I guess I thought there were more people on discord than there actually are (like 5000 or smth? idk). So perhaps wynncraft can partially be blamed for people not knowing this rule, but I still think that there are a fair amount of people who have the ability to see this rule change, but don't.

No, it's the same as saying the people who do know about a rule complaining that the rule isn't well known. No one is selling anything, and Wynncraft doesn't operate on the same front that businesses do. It's Moderator's jobs to enforce rules, not inform people of them. Just because you don't know a rule doesn't mean you can't still be held accountable in a court of law, for example. I'd like to see you get far in a trial under the pretense that you "didn't know it was against the law."

Ye. Whilst you can debate for hours if Wynn is responsible for "running after everyone telling them new rules" it is definitely at their best interest doing so, so they don't have to ban players (and prohibit them from playing their game) who didn't actually have any bad intent, but just don't use forums/discord.

If you think the rule is dumb, we understand. If you think the rule is perfect, we don’t mind. Staff has already taken points from both sides’ arguments and made a few tweaks to it.

    Just follow the goddamn rule.

How did you get to that point?? We were arguing about an in-game feature reminding you of new rules+a way to read rules in-game...

I would agree with the new spoiler rule if:
    1. A clear warning is issued first before any ban is considered.
    2. Temp ban doesn't count as a "true" ban. If the person later got caught and banned for hacking/etc. after being unbanned, that second ban would act as the player's first ban instead of the second.

Unfortunately, these expectations aren't stated which is why this is a problem in the first place. I very much agree with you on what should be set for that rule if it is to ever come up again. Thank you for clearing that up. Hopefully this is considered in the next time this comes up.
