Unreasonable Rules

I guess I disagree with not finding anything wrong with spoiling who dies in Infinity War. With regards to the warning example however, you're not completely wrong, and I'm sure that in many situations a warning will be handed out first. The problem is though that once someone makes that spoiler announcement, that's it, everyone in that area who hasn't already seen the movie has already been spoiled at that moment. For that reason I support increased transparency about our position on movie spoilers, but I still think that any attempt to knowingly or unknowingly break the rule on a massive scale, i.e. making an announcement in Detlas server 1 about key plot points, should hold some repercussions, as that to me just seems like an obvious no-no solely intended to make people angry.

I was honestley curious considering his responses didn't seem to have any backing and without external knowledge of Melteds ban It's easy to assume he got banned by him spoling the movie as suggested by the #UnBanMelted or whatever it was before you or any other moderator removed it

As I've been saying, context is everything. If it seems overly malicious, you have made efforts to tell them you don't find it funny for instance, etc., then depending on their response a normal ban for harassment is not out of the question. No harassment is clearly spelled out in our rules.

You weren't completely wrong about a specific point that you made. The idea that you are "completely correct with everyone i posted" isn't as obvious. I'll be happy to answer any more questions regarding the rule if you are still wondering about anything.

Make a #spoilers channel and reinstate it to "don't post spoilers outside of spoiler channel" whenever a big movie comes out

Or you can just all stop speaking about a rule that STAFF choose, not YOU, and just be a bit smart and think that maybe some people want to enjoy something that you may know but not him, don't be a jerk. That's why the question "Have you seen ??? ?" exists.

Probably would be angry. I don't know I can't look into people's minds. But you're missing a point of it being that people do these things to eachother regardless of how they feel. You can call it a bit of banter or some friendly jokes.

 

Hello, after listening to multiple opinions we have decided to change how we act towards spoilers. As soon as the Infinity War rule is gone, a channel called #spoilers will be created on Wynn's Discord.

Newly released movies/tv series/games can only be talked about in #spoilers in their first 2 release weeks. After those two weeks the content can be discussed anywhere on Wynn Media. The reason we don’t allow people posting spoilers without a warning is that there is no reason to do so other than wanting to ruin other people’s fun. We consider this harassment. We consider this harassment because it accomplishes nothing other than making players mad or upset.

If you have any feedback on our new way of acting towards spoilers please post a thread in the Feedback section of the forums and we will reply as soon as possible.

the punishments are way lighter than most other rules
CSST abuse back then was a permanent punishment, while these are only UP to a week
therefore it can be less
Imagine you were really excited to see avengers: infinity war in 2 days, and your hyping up and avoiding spoilers to enjoy the movie
but then you read chat, and you see that someone just spoiled half the movie
wouldn't you feel a bit burned?
They did the exact same thing for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, so it's not entirely new
also the rule is lifted may 7th

Why would you want to spoil the movie anyway? I don't see any reason to.

 

A SPOILER tag should also be added to some parts of Community Tavern section on the forums, for those who want to discuss the movie but don't use Discord.
