I've been breeding some wyverns for fun and profit, and I unfortunately did not finish the current generation before the 2.2.4 nerfs to mount training. Since then, it's far more difficult (I've not been able to find a consistent method at least) to train wyverns from 1 to 40 without having to feed somewhere in the middle, often negating a good part of the advantage of leveling them at all, because a 6 hour break in the middle of training them kinda takes a lot of time (6 hours in fact). Previously, having to feed mounts in the middle of training was technically a possibility, but never something that I had to deal with since I used a burner mount to queue pickups.

However, with 2.2.4 removing the ability to do this, the inability to force spawns or queue pickups has really demonstrated how awful the feeding timer system is for people training mounts. There needs to be a faster way to feed mounts to give them energy, or energy power-ups should not require energy to pick up, or something. Right now, it feels like my only options are to either not level the speed of my mount and spend an hour flying around on an incredibly slow mount, or to level the speed and then have to feed halfway through the training process. The former doesn't even guarantee being able to level the mount all the way; having no way to force spawns means that if you get unlucky, sometimes you'll run out of energy before even finding enough pickups. I can't even imagine doing this as a non-ranked player; having to do this sequentially for as many mounts as you need for a high-potential mount seems agonizing.

    All good points
    However
If you only want a base wyvern (like me) this system is much better. I spent hours searching for the right buffs simply because I didn't want to bother with a second just to make training the first easier
Tldr memory pool sucked for casuals & the feeding timer needs to be removed.
