The level 97 quest "The Fortune Teller" is really rather lacking in my opinion for a few reasons which I will explain. Before I start, I don't hate this quest or any other, nor do I mean any disrespect to the Content Team or anyone working behind the scenes. I also realise that with every update, quests get improved and I'm sure this one will in time. It's just that I had just completed the Dwarves and Doguns questline on the Beta, then done the Sky Islands quests to get to this one and then the quality seemed to drastically drop. Anyway, here we go:

    1. Length: This quest is extremely short and can be done in about 10 minutes. When you consider that the other quests around this level are 1000 Metres Under, Royal Trials and Recipe for Disaster, this one is noticably short in comparison.

    2. Garbage puzzle: The only puzzle in this quest is a cheap looking "quiz" that consists of 3 random questions written on signs. If you fail, a few mediocre enemies spawn and then you go again - not very interesting. On top of this, the questions occasionally go onto two signs by one word and it makes it look incredibly lazily made. Maybe have a disembodied voice or the boss from the next room asking the questions and if you fail, maybe you have to do a short amount of parkour to get back.

    3. Generic boss: To be honest, there aren't many bosses that are particularly spectacular and really make me love them in Wynncraft, and this one is no exception, it has no minions, a generic middle-sized room to battle in and nothing interesting to say and no back-story. You kill it, you move on, you forget it. For the penultimate quest, I had higher expectations.

    4. Boring Beanstalk: I actually quite like the beanstalk for the most part, it's a quirky addition to the quest and parkour is never too boring... Until you literally climb all the way until the world limit up some leaves, and if you fall, you'll almost certainly die and have to do it over again. Maybe have the teleport to the cloud-land about halfway up?

    5. Lack-luster end: The sky islands are a slightly confusing and generally interesting place as all we know is that some mysterious cataclysm caused the region to split. When you get to Farcor the dragon, you'd expect this ancient mythical beast to perhaps show you a cutscene or maybe put you into the time of the cataclysm in order to explore it (I'm thinking of this being similar to Fate of the Fallen), however you just get 6 lines of boring, lore-empty text and then the quest ends abruptly.

    6. Experience: 3.9 million xp may sound like a lot at first, but it's really not. It's lower than all of the other Sky Islands quests and at this point in the game, there's not much else to do to level up. The highest dungeons are level 90 and even with the new mini-quests, you'll only get another 700,000 xp or so. To help put it into perspective, 3.9 million xp is just under 39% of the required xp to get the player from level 97 to level 98, whereas most quests give the player between 50% and 70% of the required xp to progress to the next level.

Upon making this, I have instantly realised that this belongs in the Feedback Section, sorry.

Most of these problems are due to the quest having been made before Wynn's scripting system was fully created, limiting it in options. You're absolutely right, the quest has problems and should probably be remade, but these issues stem from a lack of options at the time of creation.

I think it’s because of the decay. You know, the stuff that destroyed half the light forest, made volcanoes explode in the molten heights, and such?

Anyways I got the joke. Though it’s not very funny.

    • Farcor: Well, you will be sorely disappointed. I will offer you no such riches.
    • Farcor: If you have found your way here, you must know the story. I left Gavel eons ago.
    • Farcor: I know it wasn't your people who are to blame. But you had your part in the cataclysm.
    • Farcor: I have watched Dogun's fall, the guardian of the forest sleep for a millenia and the greed of the villagers run rampant.
    • Farcor: You shall receive no riches from me, only this book. It reminds me of the days before all this tragedy.

I'm seriously considering skipping the entire Realm of Light questline on my 1.18 new class (except I can't stand not completing something...)
