This idea might fix that problem.

So basically what I'm thinking of is an item you get at the very start of the game, during the tutorial phase. (Don't know how exactly, maybe you get it from killing that crazy villager in the cave. slight tweak, and the player has to kill them before moving on. Gurantee way for them to get item. Just a thought) So after you get this item, it makes it so that you appear HUMAN to anyone that is not the same race as you (And maybe some exceptions like the King of Ragni, Bob, Qira, etc. People who are naturally immune to the item's magic.).

So basically:
1. Fixes storyline while leaving possibility for race based quests open.
2. Introduces the possibilities of new quests( Origin of the item, someone steals it from you, etc. Wizard of transformation might become available after Origin quest)

Possible problems:
1. Like Papyrus pointed out, these other races couldn't have come from Fruma. That region is inhabited by humans. But it didn't say they were the only ones to inhabit it.
2. What happens when a human gets the item? IDK, maybe you guys can work that out better
3. What would the item look like? I keep thinking of a shulker's projectile with ruins on it from the enchantment table, but idk
4. It would take some time to get all of the details...
5. Players who have already completed the tutorial probably won't be going there again...

Aside from the problems you've listed, I think this is the perfect solution. Thanks for bringing it up. I'll work on it, tweak it, detail it, and hopefully get it in so all the replies aren't "lore lore lore"

I'm sorry, but THIS is the main thing I'm having a problem with.
25% chance? Really?
That's about 1/4 chance.
And then that chance increases as the game continues, in the parts where it's important that you keep your soul points in check.
Maybe lower it some.

The Elf's and Human's final skill would only activate upon death, whereas other classes get some sort of buff that help them while fighting. This seems a bit unbalanced, so maybe instead of respawning with 0 mana for elf, how about when they take damage, they have a chance to gain mana regen for a certain amount of time? And for humans, instead of losing 0 soul points, what if when they are under 5% hp they have a small chance to take no dmg and deal 100% of the dmg they would have taken back to the thing attacking them?


Also I like how you have that twist of making the nerf turn into a buff at lvl 60, but then races would be to OP at high lvls. What if there was 1 nerf that turned into a buff later in the game, like you have, and there was another nerf that stayed a nerf the entire game? for example:
Orcs:
-15% walk speed that would eventually become -5% at lvl 100
etc etc

Also, I think Kitsune's last ability, Lightning strike will be kind of strong against monsters that swarm together, but weak against those that are spread out a bit. Maybe increase the range and decrease the power?

As for the wizard of transformation, the quest itself is really good, I just don't like that for completing a quest that will allow you to change races for 3le you only get 2 eb. Maybe add a few more emeralds in?

Well, sort of.
1/4 is a certainty that in a group of four things, there is one something.
25% chance is not exactly 1/4 because you could be unlucky and the thing could happen on your fifth time, or something less or greater than your fourth.

 

I knew some buff/debuffs would be made, I just didn't know where. I'll work on the Elf and Human skills, as well as fix the Kitsune's skill. I'll consider making a 2nd nerf, but I might not, because I'm trying not to use the same stat twice, but I'll try. And for the quest, I'll add more, but not like 3 LE, since you get a Scroll for free with the emeralds. Thanks!
