Website & Forums Specifying Shitposts In Rules Section/classifying Certain Threads As Shitposts (20 Supporters)

First, I am talking about the threads made not to contribute, but just to be there. For attention. Like those one sentenced, threads who want everyone to comment on them. They want people to notice them. And I'm here to say that that's not the right way to get noticed.

As for the other part, I'm positive mods always leave a friendly reminder on why your thread got closed.

 

True- which is why I said I liked this idea, but I think it needs more consideration. Instead of just shutting down a thread saying that it's a shitpost, it'd be a good idea to explain to the poster why their thread was shut down in case it is a new person and they just want to talk to people or something similar. It's true that that's not the right way to get noticed, but some people- like me in the early days- don't know that, which is why it'd be a good idea to explain that to people.
Of course, there's a problem with my idea, too. That kind of thing could end up taking a lot of time and effort from the mods. So like I said- good idea, but if it were to be implemented it'd need to be thought about more.

 

Yeah that's what I was referring to. A mod will almost always give a reason why a thread is closed (if it needs one). If a thread is necroed, they will simply close it. If the thread is obviously a shit post, they will not explain as well. For example. A "Yahya Is Illuminati Confirmed" thread will get shut down without thought. Though this most definitely varies from mod to mod, so your point is valid. We need guaranteed moderator explanation is what you're saying.

 

Yeah, that's what I'm trying to say. Sorry if that wasn't clear at first (or if I came off as rude), I'm pretty tired right now and often when I'm tired I have a harder time saying things.

Just to be clear, this suggestion is way to idealistic for a forum like this.

I would also go as far as to say your thread doesn't fall under the good category that an art maker posted. Sure Ahri is a mod, but thread creation isn't her forte (#FlubbyVsTheWorld).

You give examples with no contrete boundaries as to what qualifies a thread as being a shitpost. 90% of the time I can understand what a shitposter wants from that broken sentence, but all I can see is that you want a subjective form of censorship that is virtually unachievable.

Mussolini would be happy with specific qualifications.

Also, while I'm at it, this just gives certain people more chances to think that mini-modding is okay. Mussolini doesn't like that.
