Bug reports doesn't seem to show up there
Plus that cycles out new posts pretty quick

 

Is it's lack of use really a reason to remove it, though? While I can see there being just reasoning to have it removed with Discord taking it's place, it still served it's secondary function as being a feed for new threads. It also has a tertiary function from this by being an early alert system for spambots posting about 'Xtra Strong Dong Enhancer Drugs Buy Now $59.99'. While it has certainly dropped in activity from when I used to use it, it's not like it was so much of a problem it had to be removed. A lot of veteran forumers hold a lot of memories pertaining to the shoutbox. I would never have met some of my best friends had the shoutbox not existed. Just because Discord has taken it's place doesn't mean it strictly needs to me removed; I very highly doubt the SB was taking up a lot of space on the forum's memory to the point removing it would save cash.

I never used the shoutbox much, so I can't relate to those of you who aren't happy with the removal of it due to nostalgia and all that. I was a part of a community for over five years and watching things change, and friends coming and going. The community is all long gone, but it's still something I look back on and miss even today. I miss those things I had, and to see an entire community turned to dust feels really bad. However, I still have all of those memories with me. Those haven't gone. That's similar to the memories that you all have regarding the shoutbox. Just because it's gone, doesn't mean those memories go away too.

Lately, I haven't really seen the shoutbox getting used for much other than harassment or just spam to "keep it alive" So, I do think it's unneeded. Being able to see the latest threads was nice, I'll admit, but it's not too difficult to go onto a forum category and see a page full of the latest threads. I think change is nice, even if it's hard to get used to, which it pretty much always is. I really enjoy the idea of promoting media. That does more for the community than the shoutbox has recently, I feel. Sure it could've been kept, but for the sake of neatness, it makes sense to get rid of it, in my opinion, alongside the other two things I just mentioned.

 

Ew but then after school and when I wake up I have like 500 alerts

 

i mean u can make them all go away my just hovering over the alert button for a second lol

 

Yeah but what if I want to look through them for the threads I want to look at/reply to

Back to the original problem, I have to look manually and that's too much effort
