Why don't they just like, fix game??
So I can agree that this is a problem and that /gu cede would be a great solution but a better way for /gu cede to work would be that when you do /gu cede the guild you are giving the territory for can immediately have it and all defenses placed would be able to be carried over and also making this command only usable by Chiefs+, an example would be:
LXA takes Desert West Upper and does a 1k50s defense on it, after that one of the LXA Chiefs does /gu cede ESI, thus allowing ESI to immediately have the territory if someone from ESI is there to receive it and the 1k50s defense LXA placed on it would be carried over to ESI, the 1.5k emeralds cost from placing the defense would only cost to LXA (the guild that placed the defense) and ESI (the guild receiving the territory) will not have to pay for the defense at all.

See, the only problem with this is that there would be no counterplay from the alliance off the map. With our solution, the alliance that coordinates better wins raids, not the one with members with better ping, or whoever had more territories to start.
We wanted to come up with a solution that makes the guild war scene more interesting as a whole, rather than giving the attackers or defenders an inherent advantage. Using playerghosts, along with voice chat/in game communication will be the key to winning snipe wars, not low ping and macros.
Bruh why should other guilds pay for you that makes no sense ngl even if it is allies

and you think that'll disappear with cath's fix? without being unbelievably unfair for the nonlandholding guilds on the map? That basically means all your cute lil subguildies are gonna turn the cooldown off so the host guild can capture immediately, and I might as well not even try to make progress on any attack anymore. This change would make your alliance completely impossible to stop

The current war glitches that desync the API/in game are due to hundreds, actually usually thousands of requests to the server of /gu attack every second, as every guild tries to claim the territory the moment the cooldown hits 0.
You're trying to defend a broken, gamebreaking system just because you're abusing it because you think it gives you an advantage, but the funny thing is that it isn't. Even with sniping in its current state, the alliance with more players and more guilds will ALWAYS win, no matter what. You can't cheat your way to wiping guilds off the map, we'll just snipe back (and from today, you can see that it's either equal between us, or heavily favoring our side).
Would you rather have both sides continue abusing a broken system, putting extreme stress on the few individuals who live in major cities and have the ping to beat enemies in major cities? or would you rather come up with a solution that benefits both sides of the guild game - those off the map and on.
you'd be able to attack territories quicker if a guild cedes it, it's decently balanced however I agree it does slightly favor the defending side, but being on the attacking side gives so many advantages regardless I don't see it as the biggest issue personally
This is very interesting and can be a good option to minimize RNG on war attacks. The current system relies on the idea
that players from different Proxies have equal ground in terms of attacking. This usually isn't the case and can be attributed
to network issues. This can get rid of the problem of servers taking a heavy toll from inputs from multiple players declaring
attacks on a banner or sending a /gu attack message on a territory. This can breath new life into the guild scene since it makes guilds
attacking have to put in more effort than abuse the work done by another guild during a war be meaningless.

ping isnt even a problem lol. You guys are literally bringing this up in a partisan effort to screw us over. Why didnt you bringthis up months ago? Becuase we weren't a threat again yet, but now that we are you propose a suggestion that would benefit your dozens of cute subguildies many times over. plus besides, ESI started gettting better at sniping than we did in the end anyways since you sent terr sniper god Pho over to them. you dont need this change, and we'll get killed with this change. Ping isn't a problem when you have a sniper like Pho
