It is painfully obvious to me and seemingly other people I have raided with that being in a party with a riftwalker causes immense lag for the party. This lag means that spells and mobs have at least a 1s delay, which makes raids impossible for spellspam builds and moving away from the large amount of attacks bosses can do in raids. I would say generally the vfx are a bit much, as a ritualist I can’t use my ult in the NotG hammer room or else the player with the hammer can’t see the rock at all. This is to say that none of the other vfx that come with other archetypes lag me more in raids than riftwalker.

Some additional notes on vfx which visually throw in some raids:
the paladin ult’s waves are the same waves in many raids, making it unclear which is the real wave and which is the ult’s at a distance. Furthermore there is a warrior ability that makes a beam of light which has the same visual as many other attacks in raids. Ritualist ult often obscures player’s ability to see, especially in situations where the party needs to interact with specific elements to further the raid. Lightbender’s sun can be confused with the sun in NoL and Anni at a distance (NoL especially).

I would highly recommend that vfx for all archetypes be considered more carefully for all endgame content and that they actually are “readable in combat, while also reducing lag!”
