For any veterans here, I'm sure you remember pre-Gavel how potions would drop from mobs. This was another reason why grinding was a huge pain because potions couldn't stack and would take up so much inventory space really fast. Not to mention it made the game 10 times easier because you never had to buy potions or carry around that much because you got too much from killing mobs. Then Gavel came, and this feature was removed. People could grind way longer without their inventory filling up more than once, and emeralds had more of a use because you actually had to buy potions. Now after the Gameplay update, for some reason they reversed this decision. While it isn't as bad in the endgame, it still ruins the gameplay for the aforementioned reasons above. So what I propose to do is to remove potions from mob drops. That's it. I really can't think of any negatives, though give your thoughts about this in the comments.
