  1. Yes-I do agree with you on this, and I do not want attack speed to increase spell damage like this.

I have to agree nerfing or fixing these kinds of major things that play a role within the community really breaks down it. Just FYI, the +n Spell Damage identification was not nerfed, but fixed. But sadly, it was never mentioned until the fix, causing a large disruption. Reading from your text, I have to say you brung up a really good point. I can see that you may also agree on the fact that there are not many determinants to define who is bad or good, which leaves the community of players boring and nerfed. At the moment, +n attack speed tier identifications are the most largest determinants in terms of damage. However, as mentioned by Salted, the follow-up update may include powders, which may be an extra determinant. Unless that does not work out well or the powder update is likely to come not in the near future, I have no words. But for the better good, it's not fair for the most of the players not using attack speed to increase their damages to the same level as ones who do use attack speed. It breaks the game how these few likely, low-leveled items is given so much attention to deal damage beyond measure (70k or so. Sounds a bit off, doesn't it? I mean, the game is already broken, as in duels, nearly everyone can one-shot each other) Just a side note before I finish, I am just going to put this in your mind - players who use +n attack speed tier equipment with slow weapons for spell damage are really intended to fight with melee damage. Hope you can see the logic in there.
I may assume the nerf of "clock boots" is the -n% melee damage and -n% spell damage identifications. Correct me if I am wrong here. Just nerfing them like by an extra -10% or so is not a good way to try and counteract its attack speed tiers. I am going to express why I think so with these pictures I just took:

You can still see quite a difference while I am using Clock Boots, comparing the thunder damage. Although one hit with Clock Boots look worse than a hit with Memento, I never hit higher than 4k thunder damage while I am using my Memento. Furthermore, I never really heard of any other +n attack speed tier equipment getting nerfed other than the spell damage % on the clock boots. Things like Mummy's Rag and Electrocharged Greaves are still present, with no spell damage % nerfs at all. If you can prove this with another or a few more examples, I will note that down.

Most attack speed stuff has a counter to this hy having like -70% spell damage, but mummy's rag doesn't for some unknown reason.

Again, I have to say that Nerfing attack speed as a whole would destroy a lot of the game. Instead, nerfing the +attack speed on armor/accessories would be the best option

I know that already. I even included it in the actual thread. I was just explaining the general idea of it.
