    Hey, it's me.
This quest is a continuation of "Sanctuary of the Skies", which can be found here. Please read that before reading this.
You may remember how at the end of the quest, and in that hidden room, there were mentions of a Sky Fortress. This quest revolves around that information.
    Let's begin.

Quest Name: Fragments of the Fallen Fortress
    Minimum Level: 97
    Length: Long

    Stage 1: Speak to Hurri.
    Rejection dialogue:
Hurri: Hmm, I would ask you for something, but I can't have you do something so dangerous at that level.
Hurri: Perhaps if you were level 97, that could make it better?

    Quest start dialogue:
    Hurri: Human, yes you.
Hurri: You are the one who fixed our machine, right? Show me the defective core from the machine as proof, then we'll talk.
    With core:
Hurri: I can see that you carry the old defective core.
Hurri: Listen here, I've got a very important request to ask of you.
Hurri: I don't think anybody else here, besides my little group knows about this, so I'd like you to keep this a secret.
Hurri: I know what's causing that instability, yeah? I know the reason for this peril.
Hurri: That ruined sky fortress, that absolute monstrosity of a building.
Hurri: If you are still interested, go to the next room. There, my group will inform you on what you must do, and give you more information on the subject.

    After talking:
Hurri: If you are still interested, go to the next room. There, my group will inform you on what you must do, and give you more information on the subject.

    Stage 2: Meet Hurri's group.
Docul: Welcome, I assume you're the one Hurri told us about. I guess we'll need to inform you on your task.
Skye: We want you to search out and investigate fragments of the Sky Fortress. We believe that when the region first ruptured, the Fortress broke apart and fell.
Docul: Those fragments may hold important information or objects needed in order to calm the energy that is endangering the sky islands as so.
Torna: There are 5 fragments in total, and they landed on lower, horribly fierce parts of the Sky Islands. The Fortress itself fell into the upper regions of the void.
Docul: These areas are very difficult to navigate, as well as work through. Recent scans had shown monsters of pure evil roaming that territory.
Docul: Not only that, but there are also strong winds near the fragments. If you aren't careful, they could blow you off into the void.
Docul: I've given you a map of where to go. You'll have to go down to a lower level of the sky islands to reach the region.
Docul: We wish you good luck. Not out of hope, but out of neccessity.

    After talking:
Docul: We don't blame you if you don't want to go. We won't force you to go or anything, but if you don't...
Docul: Remember what's at stake here.

Stage 3: Enter the lower regions of the Sky Islands.
Upon reaching the marked area on the map, you feel winds blowing on your back.
    Suddenly...!

The player is blown off of the edge, and is placed in the region of the sky islands where the fragments are.
...Perhaps this wasn't the best idea.

Stage 4: Find the first fragment of the fallen fortress.

Before we continue, let me go over a review of this area. These lower islands consist of five main parts, or 5 main islands. They are relatively dark with vegetation that is mostly killed off from severe winds. They are all more or less "linked" together in a pentagontal shape, but the player may not move back to a previous island. If they try, they will be "pushed onward by heavy winds".

When the player falls, they fall relatively nearby the first fragment. However, enemies called "Spirit of the Sky" swarm the area. These enemies have 15,000 HP and hit hard and fast with a normal melee AI. They use the pull spell very often. Getting to the first fragment is more or less a very tough hike across the island.
Upon reaching the fragment, it will be covered with rubble and vegetation. The player must kill 10 Spirits of the Sky and put their drops, "Wind Essence" inti the hopper. This blows off the blockage and gives the player access to the first fragment. When reaching it, there are signs that say:
"Dashed and destroyed, reduced to rubble. The spirit was a bringer of death. It's unstable energy tore apart the weak who came too close."
1 [Machine Part 1] given to player.

Stage 5: Find the second fragment of the fallen fortress.
After continuing on from the first fragment, the player will encounter a broken bridge to the next island. The player will need to scavenge the nearby area for 7 wood in order to fix the bridge.
After fixing the bridge and stepping on the next island, the player will get the message:
The winds get stronger, as if they don't want you to go any further.
The next island is barren and empty. The few trees that are there have been stripped of their leaves by the wind. The player must enter a cave to find the next fragment. In the cave, there are many mobs, 5 Fortress Guardians (5k hp, rapid but weak ranged), 3 Spirits of the Sky, and 1 Gale of the Fallen Fortress (120k hp, very fast but weak melee). The player must kill the Gale to receive a "Concealed Storm". The way to the fragment is blocked by a door, which is blown down after you put the Concealed Storm in a hopper. Upon entering the room, there are signs that say:
"A monster beyond imagination. It controlled the wind, the skies, and all else. One would like to believe it was a mindless beast, but in reality it held intelligence greater than any other being."
1 [Machine Part 2] given to player.
After leaving the room and returning to the surface of the island, a large gust of wind blasts the player up into the sky, over to the next island. A minigame will be required to reach it.

Stage 6: Find the third fragment of the fallen fortress.
Upon being launched in midair, the player will need to avoid gusts of wind which will push them off course. If the player is pushed off course too far, they will need to restart the minigame.
When the player succeeds, they will enter the third island, which has some mountain-like terrain with no vegetation. This island serves as a short break before the final two islands, as the challenge for this is relatively easy. The player must complete a short parkour section across a ravine, which leads them to the fragment. Upon reaching it, the player gets a short cutscene, the description of which is:
2 people are walking across the island. Suddenly, a ominous figure looms above them. It raises its hand, and winds start to tear the island apart. Trees are uprooted and land is blown upwards to form the mountains. The island cracks, and a large ravine forms, into which the people fall into.
1 [Machine Part 3] given to player.
After the cutscene ends, the player finds themselves on the fourth island.
It would be greatly preferable to get this done as soon as possible.

Stage 7: Find the fourth fragment of the fallen fortress.
This island is very cluttered with rubble. Spirits of the Sky are practically infesting the area. The player must make it to the fragment, which can be seen in the distance. However, the player is constantly being harassed by the spirits, and additionally, strong winds on the island constantly push the player back. Upon reaching the fragment, there are signs that say:
"Hope is lost. We've been outsmarted, the monster continues its rampage. We can only hope that our predictions about the unstable energy was wrong."
1 [Machine Part 4] given to player.

Stage 8: Find the final fragment of the fallen fortress.
The previous island and the next island are connected by a thin strip of land. Tall rocks cover each side. The player must walk across without being blown off by the strong winds. When the wind comes, they must use the rocks as a barrier to avoid being blown off and needing to restart.
After arriving on this island which looks similar to the 3rd but without the ravine, particles circle around the area in front of the player, and the figure that appeared in the cutscene floats in front of the player, before vanishing soon after. The player must complete a short parkour section similar to the one on the third island, but this time, Wind Spirits sit below with the pull spell. The player must time their jumps to avoid being dragged into the void, which will cause the player to restart the parkour.
When the player completes the parkour, they will be frozen, and finally receive some dialogue at long last.

???: You seem to sit well with the winds.
???: Hah, that could be an understatement. Hell if I know.
???: All you need to know is that I've been watching you throughout your...expedition? Journey? Hunt? It doesn't matter, it's all one and the same to me.
???: If you truly desire, I will let you pass to the final fragment. But be warned.
???: If you take that last fragment, I'll be waiting. Waiting for you.
???: Why will I be waiting? Well, why does that matter? It'll all end the same way no matter what.
???: When you arrive at my domain at long last, I'll tear everything of value to you all apart.
???: And you will be there to see it.
    ???: See you soon, [username].

The player is then unfrozen, and the final fragment will appear in front of them. Upon reaching it, they get the text:
For those who have come across this unfortunate zone:
I'm sorry. We couldn't stop him. He came across in a gale of wind.
That man, he was absolutely unstoppable. In a single strike, the land we had built the very foundation of this town on, crumbled to dust and cracked open like an egg against rock.
Hopefully, none other with need to share the same fate.
    Yours truly, ̮͞ ̶̼̪̞͉̠̟ ͖̰̦ͅ ̞͔̕ ̲̪͉̯̲ ̫̼ ͇͕̫̬̦ ̷̥̖͙̭ ̷ ̬͔̠͡ ̵͕ ̢̙̥͔͍ ̥̭͞ ҉̯̙̱̤ ̡ ͍ ̜̣ͅ

1 [Machine Part 5] given to player.
After that, a gust of wind blows the player back to the sanctuary.

Stage 9: Report to Hurri on your findings.
Hurri: Oh! You're back. That took far longer than I expected. Are you...alright there?
    You begin to black out.
Hurri: H-hey! Easy there! Hold on for just a moment!
Hurri: Just what happened down there that could have done something like this?
Hurri: Oh dear, this isn't good.

    Everything goes black.

Stage 10: Ask Hurri about what happened.
Hurri: Oh, you're finally awake! I was very worried about you.
Hurri: You had just passed out suddenly there, but luckily we had somebody nearby that knew how to deal with situations like this.
Hurri: Now, that's the bad news about all of this. The good news, well...
Hurri: You came back with those machine parts. While you were out, our engineers here were able to put the machine back together, but, it doesn't have a power source.
Hurri: We believe that the machine will be able to locate the exact location of the Sky Fortress, which in turn should let us access it, but as I said, we can't really use it.
Hurri: Maybe if we had some type of power source, we could use it?
Hurri: A-anyway, back to the point. I'd just like to thank you so much for going and doing this for us.
Hurri: You risked your life for everybody here, and came back with this valuable information. I don't know anybody else who would do something like that.
Hurri: On behalf of the Sanctuary of the Skies, we will allow you access to our combat room, reserved only for those who have done great deeds as such.
Hurri: Thanks, and see you soon.

    Quest Rewards:
    1 [Unpowered Machine]
    16384 [Emeralds]
    6250000 XP
Access to the Sanctuary of the Skies Battle Room

I hope you enjoy! There will be one more quest after this, and I plan to make it even better than this one.

Part 1: Sanctuary of the Skies
    Part 2: You are here
Part 3: Conquest of the Fallen Fortress

Looks fine, though I just wish this questline would shed some light on the lore of the original fracturing. Like, who the hell were the Ahms?

that is something that i wish i could put into this questline but cannot as that would be too lore heavy, and quest suggestions generally shouldn't be too lore heavy as it might conflict with future plans
