I didn't read everything, but wanted to say this...

Wynncraft store is based on buycraft, so I think it's either a buycraft feature to verify minecraft username ownership, or there's no other "safe" way to implement this

That could work, although, we still would need to have a method of verifying on the forums because not everyone would be happy with loading up Minecraft and connecting to the server to make their purchase.

You're buying something and getting a refund, but due to how the coding works, it's impossible for the game to take back what you bought.
Thus, you're basically scamming Wynncraft out of irl money.

I don't think this is a bad idea, but I also don't think it's realistic. I'm not exactly sure whether or not Wynncraft works it's store through Buycraft, but the vast majority of Minecraft servers do. If there is a problem and this does happen to you, there are ways for you to get in contact with Buycraft, I'm pretty sure, even if it's an uncommon occurrence.

It's important to also note, which isn't noted here, if an account is to chargeback at any time, through a store that uses Buycraft, it can no longer make any purchases on any stores which use Buycraft. For example: I buy a rank on server A. Shortly after, server A dies in population and I no longer enjoy playing. I decide to chargeback that rank. Later on, I come across server B. Great server, I absolutely love it. However, because I proceeded to chargeback on server A, I'm unable to purchase anything from server B.

As for your suggestions, the idea of two factor authentication sounds nice, but again, because things are handled through Buycraft, which I'm pretty certain they are, I don't think it's entirely possible. Entering the username before accessing the store and logging you into an account would all be on Buycraft's end. I'm really unsure of how possible it would be to send a message to the username in game because of the fact it's handled through Buycraft. I don't believe that is something that could be done server side, that would have to be changed through Buycraft itself. You could create a popup second page, after typing in a username into Buycraft, which makes you type in a code, but you would also probably have to type in your username again for it to send you a code, as it's not directly linked to Buycraft, therefore allowing you to type in your own username for the code, and another's username for Buycraft, if this makes sense.

And for the gifting suggestion, the amount of coding that would need to be done seems like a very large amount, which isn't a reason not to implement something, but I'm just unsure how possible it is to do. On top of that, what happens if there's a bug? Bugs are not uncommon at all, and what if something doesn't go through to the player you're gifting to, or something else doesn't work correctly? It's a lot harder to fix the issue than it is currently. Most servers directly give you whatever item it is, and this is good design, even if it can be abused in one specific way.

I like the fact that you proposed the idea of entering a code, previous to purchasing the item itself. As purchasing an item and then holding that item from a player until they enter a code would never work, more for legal reasons.

The only way I see these suggestions being possible is if the store stops running on Buycraft, if it does. This would include a huge loss in security and many other things, however.

TL;DR, There are ways to deal with these situations already, even if they're tedious. Good suggestion, but probably not possible by any means. Buycraft handles these things for the most part, not the server.

(Please feel free to correct any information if I'm wrong.)

Huh? is it actually possible to see who voted on your post?

I was never aware that such a feature existed. Please tell me how to do it!

It's not always possible to view who voted for what option as it is up to the original poster to decide to allow others to see the voters, but if it is possible on a poll, you click on the part called "x vote(s)" at the top. If it's clickable, you can view who voted for the option, and if it isn't, you can't view the voters.

This is just ignorant, yes a couple of new steps are needed to prevent a malicious person to potentially ban anybody they want. And your suggestion is even more complicated. You would have to go through minecraft just to buy a rank, and a new player would be confused that they can’t buy a rank through the damn public website, but through a command in minecraft. Hypocritical, and sad to see somebody doesn’t care about the safety of the community, instead they should just appeal for no reason other than that they were malicilosuly targeted to be banned.
