World Pls Debuff Poison..

I wouldn't nerf the number of poison. I would add a system which could dodge some poison damage, like earth defence, because poison is mainly associated with earth.

 

Making it bound to any element is a hard nerf because if you are resistant to it then the defense would apply 3 times. Although you could be weak to it that would make it stronger. Having partially applied is really just trying to force the idea to live. I understand that poison doing earth damage does make sense, but it really would not change anything balance wise.

I am fairly certain that defense not blocking poison damage is some type of bug or oversight. So until that is fixed I think that reverting to pre gameplay is not needed.

personally, my own fix would be to make poison go make down to its original state,
then get rid of the knockback XD
then buff it, by making poison work while you're hitting a mob, so if you have 3000, you do that extra 1000 dmg per second. only one poison tick would be active at once. but poison wouldn't be a primary way of dmg, it would be a bit more dps

 

That was just a quick thought though, I could refine my idea more if I had time. I had time there, but I did just try to finish it quite quickly to move on to other threads.

Don't think so.

The -only- issue is in PVP which is a rather minor part of the game. Either it's useful in PVE, or it's useful in PVP. Due to the way the skill works at the moment, there's no inbetween, so I'd rather it be useful in the vast majority of the game and overpowered in a small chunk than useless in 99% of the game and balanced in the last 1%.

 

this isn't true I'm sorry, you can find ways to make it balanced in both, whether if you like it or not, it is possible.
in order to buff it in pve you didn't have to make it 10 fold the amount on items, simply do something creative with it.
like my statement or many others on this thread, while none of them are perfect, its a start.

Thinking like that is pretty entitled, and, a little rude in general, completely cancelling out Selvut's opinion/criticism like that is not how you handle feedback on your suggestion, he has an opinion too you know, his opinion matters just as much as yours, I kind of think it's what the game needs as well, but that's what you think the game needs, and that's your opinion, not mine nor Selvut's, but we have opinions too on what the game "needs".

I care, does that mean my opinion won't matter on this thread at all as well? I think the answer is no, because I think poison needs fixing as well, but that doesn't mean you should reply to criticism with "this isn't true" but instead with something more argumentative explaining all your reasoning on why poison should be nerfed in an efficient manner with detail and everything.
