(sorry for my long-winded-ness. Pics are big so I putting this in two posts) Um, Tolem? I got all 3 escaped cows over here We really have to do this, huh? *sigh* I DID THOUGH! What else was I supposed to do, you weren't saying anything! ________________________________ I love Wynncraft, but sometimes I wish the quests didn't force players to be the "mindless killing machine" stereotype villagers have of humans. I mean, Rooster Island I get because Nohno totally makes it sound like he wants you to kill Cluckles. But then there's quests like this where some players actually do understand what the NPC means by 'deal with X mob(s)' but there's no way to continue the quest without killing the thing(s) and getting inevitably yelled at and called an idiot. I'll admit, I know next to nothing about programming, so forgive me if this would be too complicated to do. I'm not suggesting to change the quest completely so you don't have to kill the things (in this case: the escaped cows). I'm just wondering if it's possible to put in some optional, alternate dialogue should the player manage to accomplish the task without killing the cows that give you no experience anyway. Using "The Shadow of the Beast" as an example: everything about the quest would stay same, even up to the quest goal reading "deal with the 3 escaped cows near the house and in the cave under the farm". This way, the quest for the most part stays unchanged. However, there would just be a secret alternate dialogue if a player managed to get the cows into the hole inside the fence. Maybe you'd get three similar, but different quests items from bringing them in that would trigger this dialogue to play instead? As for getting them there: Either by punching them with an empty hand like I did here, or maybe someone would think to look around for something to lure the cows with and find some 'delicious wheat' in the house that let's the cows follow you. Basically, just having a secret, not-obvious-but-alternate-option to finish that particular stage of the quest without having to kill the cows. (again, I'm using this quest as an example) Hopefully I explained that well enough. Any thoughts or feedback would be welcome, I just wanted to throw this out there.
