Nice Config, Mind Making It Actually Work Though?

Oh good ANOTHER "Assassin needs buff, mage needs nerf" thread.

 

The argument that 'you should respect what the people that have done the work have done' is fallical to use in its own place. I haven't just randomly said everything is bad and that it should change, I'm saying that the game is incredibly boring and is unbalanced in a manner that makes it unviable to use certain classes. Saying that you should respect years of work does not validate saying something is wrong

 

Granted it doesn't, but you still shouldn't take a shit on years worth of work and say "it's terrible change everything except this one part idc about and didn't put any thought into".

I'm not saying everyone has to like it. Again, I'm saying nobody should take a dump on years worth of several people's work.

 

The assassin needing buff mage needing nerf issue was stupid back when it was obviously not true. To meet the demands of people making those threads Assassin was nerfed heavily and mage was buffed heavily. I'm not sure how anyone can say a spell that has long range should do 400% damage at any time in a quick speed is fair compared to another spell doing 15% damage for 10 hits and then doing nothing else of meaning is well balanced

 

No one is "taking a dump" on it, they're applying valid and constructive criticism highlighting issues with the current system that they personally see and requesting they be changed

 

So you've either not realised that they released a major update and trying to fix glitches first, or you're saying Quests are incredibly boring, meaning you've never been to Gavel. The only real boring part is grinding... And yeah, that's kinda terrible

 

Oh but you have. The game is balanced. You wanna know how? Every single class can Solo Qira without even being 100. Therefore, it's balanced.

That just means every class is powerful enough to kill a boss, you never highlighted the fact that it is much, much easier for certain classes to kill it than others

That's exactly what Heika is doing. He(or she) highlighted issues that aren't even there, and ignored ones that are. To make matters worse, he completely ignored a quarter of what his thread pertains to. Not exactly putting much thought into it in that area, is he?

 

Well, time to make a Qira needs buff thread

 

I've been to Gavel just as much as the next guy. The quests there are again, not the highest quality in writing content that can be produced. Releasing a major update shouldn't even be considered until the majority of issues are worked out, not while they're still around.

 

If every class can beat the game at this point, then nothing else matters.

They didn't "ignore" it, they simply saw that no changes needed to be applied. And "highlighting issues that aren't there"? So because it doesn't agree with your personal points of view it doesn't exist for some reason?

Not my personal opinion. Before you say it is, it's the opinion of the vast majority of the forums, so please don't.

"They simply saw that no changes needed to be applied" Then they didn't really look at Warrior. Chances are they didn't look at any of this, but I'll stick with warrior. Are you going to now tell me that, after defending a thread that claims 3 out of 4 classes have several flaws and are terrible, there's one class that needs no change whatsoever? Riiiight...

 

I've highlighted logical issues that you still refuse to address. If I don't have the knowledge of these issues that you're saying are there, then it doesn't fall upon me to go and find them all and insert them in the post. If you have more to add, do it yourself.

Balancing isnt based off of 'oh can every class beat the game'. If that were the case, MMO's wouldnt even be played because only one class would be used by anyone that actually wanted to get things done. The usual case is that you balance things instead off PvP, because it offers the most dynamic combat based off differences in intellect and timing rather than figuring out what works on a boss. You should probably go acquaint yourself with the act of balancing before making statements regarding balancing, because it doesn't bode well for an argument.

Oh, and I've talked with them about it, and they looked into every class

 

I think a lot of people would disagree with that. The storylines are a lot better, the usage of commands make it actually unpredictable, and a lot of the kinks tend to be caused by lag, the server, or updates in the game (Minecraft, not Wynncraft)
I kind of agree that mages and archers need a nerf, but the large stuff comes first (like integration of 1.9 that isn't glitchy as all heck)
