I agree with that. I actually think a re-work of the older quests is called for, but right now the team is too busy making new high level quests to satisfy the lvl 100 players -_-

 

actually, many of the old quests have been reworked in the one or other way... I was really surprised when I started a new class :D

Did you do any research before posting this? I am sorry if it sounds like I am being a jerk, but before you posted this, you should've done some research. There is literally an application for GM, and this is basically what GM's do, make quests (as their main job), while doing some other important things. There is no need for QW, as it will only slow down the process. If you wish to become a GM, go to their application, or if you really just want to create quests, post your ideas on the General Suggestions page! ☺

If you have ever filled out a GM application one of the fields is to legit write quest dialogue.

 

Ok, honestly... seeing all the people kinda be harsh on the guy is kinda throwing me off.

I'll put it nicely though, GMs, a.k.a Game Masters, are people in the CT (Content Team) that write, and create quests for the server, they do also sometimes make items, but that's mainly Selvut's job. They work along side the CMDs, and builders, in order to create the content of which you see in the server. What you are trying to propose as an idea, is "Quest Writers" which, as many people said already, is basically just a GM that is specially dedicated to the quest writing. This is where your suggestion starts to fall a little flat.

Because GM is already a rank, then that means that your idea for a rank would have really no purpose, as the GM's job is already to write the quests, and then impliment them, with the owners/devs permission. When the Devs give the OK, then the GMs work on the quest.

However, the idea of a different rank can be good, but you need to have it be something that is not already a thing.

List of ranks that exist:
-Admin
-Moderator
-GM (Game Master)
-Builder
-QA (Quality Assurance)
-Community Manager (The only one that I know of, is Pretzule)
-CMD (I think it stands for Command Blocker, tho I might be wrong)
-Music (Composers, such as @XavierEXE or the others)
-Artist (Given to either the official artist of Wynncraft, or an artist of high popularity and skill, unsure which atm)
-Media (Youtubers, or Streamers basically. Though it's prodominantly youtubers.)
-Support Team
-Featured Wynncraftian (they get interviewed, and are basically given a mini honor, and are featured for about a week to a month)

Donation Ranks:
-Veteran (Only given to those who had VIP before the EULA terms of service agreement hit Minecraft.)
-VIP
-VIP+
-Hero

Unofficial ranks, however they still "exist":
-Head Builder
-Head GM
-Coder
-Dev (Devs and Coders are kinda the same thing, but also not really)
-Trial Mod
-Trial GM
-Trial Builder
-Trial CMD
-Trial Music (Only heard it from Xavier, but he said there was a little bit of time when he was technically that)
-Project Manager
-
-Jumla (Cuz why not)

Ranks that might not see the light of day:
-QW (Reason: GMs exist)
-Helpers (These could theoretically exist, however, we don't know if it is even a thing that could happen, as Moderators basically do the same thing)
(Unsure about any other ranks, if there are some I missed, then please notify me.)

So, if you want to try again, and make another suggestion for a Rank, then go you! But just take into consideration these ranks, and ask yourself, if the rank you are thinking of is similar or identical to any of these.

Ok I didnt know some of them too... like Artist and music, they are actual ranks? Wow.
Also, ever was curious about what "QA" is... I thought it's short for Q&A, so like more of a supporter.. But then I remembered Marion, she has a "support team" tag... (Guess you forgot about that one existing too)
So whats the actual purpose of a QA? What do they DO?
And also, there are many other "unofficial ranks" like you mentioned... Trial Builder, Project Manager and so on.... mentioned here

Also, QA (Quality Assurance) are basically bug testers, or they make sure that things in the game aren't broken, or stuff like that.

 

Except "their thing" is making quests.

EDIT: Also, I love how this person acts like he knows more about gms than someone who is on the content team. And having individual "quest writers" would be a bad idea, as text usually isn't what makes a quest fun and exciting.

I can't get enough of these suggestions that say to implement things that already exist

 

They aren't doing their jobs very well.

 

They are mostly GitHub guys, it takes a long time to find out what causes a bug and hope to fix it. It's easier to just plug holes

 

I like the time and thought you put into the this 100% well-thought out idea, nice one!
