Fret not, I say, for I have come up with a way for you to still deal damage whilst mainly being a defensive character. P.S: This is my first suggestion after being a lurker here for a while and commenting on stuff so please forgive me if I've left out any important details. I think I've covered everything, but knowing me... I'm forgetful of quite a bit lmao !!Disclaimer!! This class is meant to be more defensive than offensive! I also don't really know how to balance numbers and stuff so if any of that seems out of place, please forgive me. I'm also open to any and all ideas you may have for changes! Please keep the discussion civil. With that out of the way, let's get onto the class suggestion! Class Name: Protector Reskin Name: Crusader Base Stats Damage: 3/5 Defence: 5/5 Range: 2/5 Spells: 3/5 Weapon: Shield Crafting: At the weapon smithing table. This then balances out the 2-3 with woodworking. The crafting recipe would be 2 ingots 1 oil Spells All reskinned spell names will be marked with a + symbol Spell 1: R-L-R Boomerang + Heaven's Rebound -Throw your shield in an arc parallel to the ground in a 4x4 radius, damaging those it hits. Grade 1 (Lv. 1) -> Mana cost: 6 150% damage 20% Air damage Grade 2 (Lv. 16) -> Mana cost:6 150% damage 20% Air damage +Crippling Blow: Stuns enemies for 1 second Grade 3 (Lv. 36) -> Mana cost: 6 150% damage 30% Air damage +Batter Up: Hits mobs for an extra 5% of damage Spell 2: R-R-R Shield Warp +Transport of Protection -Wherever you toss your shield, you'll warp to it-- max range is lesser than Mage's teleport but greater than Warrior's charge. Alternatively, if you throw your shield at a mob, you'll warp to the targeted mob. Grade 1 (Lv. 11) -> Mana cost: 4 Grade 2 (Lv. 26) -> Mana cost: 4 100% damage 20% Water damage (Upon hitting a mob with your shield) +Stall for Time: Slow enemies by 20% for 1 second Grade 3 (Lv. 46) -> Mana cost: 4 100% damage 20% Water damage (Upon hitting a mob with your shield) 25% Fire damage (Upon explosion) +Holy Smokes: Warping to your shield now creates an explosion, dealing 150% damage for 2 seconds Spell 3: R-L-L Shield Bash +Holy Thwack -Rush forward to smack your foes with your shield, dealing a great amount of damage. Grade 1 (Lv. 21) -> Mana cost: 8 Duration: 3 seconds 350% damage 15% Thunder damage Grade 2 (Lv. 36) -> Mana cost: 8 Duration: 3 seconds 350% damage 15% Thunder damage +Glare: Blind enemies for 1 second Grade 3 (Lv. 56) -> Mana cost: 8 Duration: 3 seconds 350% damage 20% Thunder damage +Head Trauma: Enemies hit with Shield Bash take 25% more damage for 2 seconds Spell 4: R-R-L Tower Shield +Ascending Cover -Buffs defense. That's it. This is the utility spell, after all. -Duration of the spell: 1 minute Grade 1 (Lv. 31) -> Mana cost: 7 30% defense buff Grade 2 (Lv. 46) -> Mana cost: 7 Defense buff increases to 35% 125% damage (Due to Encasing) 10% Air damage (Also due to Encasing) +Encasing: Send out a ring of protection in a 3x3 radius for 3 seconds. Any allies inside will receive a buff to defense of 25% for the allotted time. Grade 3 (Lv. 66) -> Mana cost: 7 Defense buff increased to 40% 125% damage 10% Air damage 5% Fire damage +Restoring Faith: Defense is raised by 30% after Encasing ceases. Duration of the defense raise is 8 seconds. This is only given to the caster of the spell. -Animations- **ALL RESKINNED VERSIONS HOLD THE SAME ANIMATION JUST CHANGING THE COLORS TO WHITE WITH SOME YELLOW** Melee is pretty obvious-- just punch things with your shield Boomerang: Grey and purple particles in the shape of a flattened disk will emit from the player and trail along in an arc parallel to the ground. Shield Warp: Grey and purple particles in the shape of a shield will emit from the player and launch forward before landing on the ground, momentarily marking where the player will warp to. Shield Bash: Grey and purple particles in the shape of a shield will emit and rush out from the player, dragging the player with it to hit enemies. Tower Shield: An explosion of colorful particles will emit from the player when cast. With Encasing, the ring shall be created with teal or red particles.
