Yo so I was running around on my assassin when I suddenly saw that the Nether portal was changed. I don't know how long it has been changed for, but it gave me hope that something was going to happen for the nether. Then, I had a brilliant idea.

    9 STAGES OF HELL:
This idea is basically Tower of Ascension if each floor was its own map. Essentially, you're thrust into the first layer (The top layer) of the nether at lvl 40 (Once you complete a quest which I'll get into later). There, you explore the first and smallest layer, fighting demons, lava monsters, corrupted miners, emerald golems, and the such. A dungeon lays at the end of the first floor, in which you will have to fight your way through lvl 50 enemies and a boss to get to the second floor. The enemies change every floor and each floor gets 10 levels higher.
    Layer 1: Lvl 40 Easy
A circular realm, tall walls circling the whole realm, and abandoned ruins everywhere.
    Layer 2: Lvl 50
A massive cavern system with lava and molten rock everywhere.
    Layer 3: Lvl 60 Medium
A series of mountains, volcanoes, and cliffs surrounding a spire of lava.
    Floor 4: Lvl 70
A brimstone plains with lava hotspots dotting the map.
    Floor 5: Lvl 80 Hard
A forest of nether trees with a giant tree at the center of the map.
    Floor 6: Lvl 90
Several islands floating atop a massive ocean of lava.
    Floor 7: Lvl 100 Hardcore
A vast expanse of lava rivers with molten rock and mountains along the rivers.
    Floor 8: Lvl 110
A series of giant spires with a gigantic spire in the center.
    Final Floor: Lvl 120 Extreme
A giant abandoned city with a colossal chained demon in the center.
Enemies, item rewards, lore bosses, lore encounters, quests, and everything in between can be packed into these 9 layers. Remember, game difficulty comes from not only raising stats, but also level design, enemy design, group encounter design, stage design, etc. Maybe in one boss you have to fight a boss while also parkouring, while another boss you will have to fight them while constantly dodging falling rocks, etc etc. Garaheth bossfight could be a true raid boss, where one squad of your party goes into the heart of Garaheth and starts weakening him from the inside while another fights him from the outside. At this point I'm just giving ideas for bosses.

    Lvl 35 Quest: Hellish Harbor
The player enters the nether portal, suddenly being thrust into a land packed with brimstone, fire, and misery. Immediately once the player arrives, they immediately are spotted by a level 100 demon, and is smoked. The player wakes up in a bed surrounded by humans and villagers. They, however, look like they are somewhat corrupted. Half of their face is red with scales, adorned with horns and patchy red scales. The player gets off of their bed and leaves the building, where a city of corrupted citizens live.

The player is guided by a citizen to the heart of the city, where a massive floating ice crystal is kept. The citizens do not know where the ice crystal came from, but it is able to completely halt the spread of the corruption into their city. The player is told that, in order for them to return to the overworld, they must defeat an ancient monster that guards the portal home. (This is not the dungeon boss for floor 1). The player makes their way towards a hellish mine, encountering many demonic entities along the way.

In the mine, corrupted miners and demonic emerald ore halt the players' advance. After defeating them, however, the player is met by a monstrosity. Demonic miners, fused onto one another by corruption, all holding pickaxes. A grotesque demonic face is formed by the corruption using the tissue of the miners, and the amalgamation charges at the player. Once the player defeats the beast, it drops a "Nether Essence" which is used to power the portal. The player makes their way back to the city, where the empty portal stands. Using the nether essence, the player ignites the portal to the overworld. The corrupted citizens don't come, as the nether is their home now, plus they wouldn't be accepted due to their corrupted nature. The quest ends there, the player is given money and exp, and they walk into the portal and back into the overworld.

    OVERVIEW:
The point of this idea is that it gives players a side-quest along their journey that give rewards and exp. The excitement of exploring a new area and the difficulty of taking on hard enemies is what makes MMO RPGs fun for me and probably most of the community, which is why the 9 levels is designed like it is. It also gives endgame players something to do, rather than just sit in Detlas or lootrun. Maybe the community could make challenges like "Getting to lvl 100 while never leaving the nether" or "9 floors speedrun" or something like that. Though this idea is EXTREMELY difficult to pull off and it would take a very long time to make, I think it would very a very good addition to the Wynncraft experience.

I hope you found this idea cool or just entertained you for 10 minutes. I'll see you when I post again in another month.
