Also in later game you don't need heal you need ice snake. In my opinion if you want to beat CoW as an archer do this:
Escape+Bomb Arrow+(When you fall back down)do Arrow Storm+Arrow Shield+Then repeat but wait to regen mana.

This is how I think my friend did it so try it out but I'll check.

 

Mage can easily survive the orange wybel with high defence and decent mana. The reason people get 1 shot in there alot is because they use agility, which is RNG based.

 

CoW isn't even that hard

 

I know because after the 5th time I realised that my defense was too low.

I am level 69 and recently started fighting him. He is not too bad, save for his multihit. That needs the nerf hammer.

 

@Selvut283 come explain how his multihit makes the fight easier

 

His Multihits spell deals either 80% or 100% damage per hit, as I have set it on the YML file. Given how quickly he hits already, it is essentially just giving his melee a spot of range. Plus, since mobs slow down when charging a spell, you have ample time to move.

 

Is easy to fight and defeat him:
-As archer,you need to use always escape or arrow shield to stun it from attacking you,and when is stunned,attack it has many damage you can do.
-As Warrior,if you have high ws,use bash to reduce his move speed to attack it without getting hitted,if not use uppercut to make damage and mantain him in air and war scream to make knockback if is too near from you.
-As Mage use Ice Snake to greatly reduce his move speed and be impossible to reach you,or teleport to stun it for few second,then meteor him.
-As Assassin make spins to stun it,due that have also blindness, and smoke bomb to reduce his speed and deal good damage,and if is too near from you vanish and move around in a secure zone before unvanishing
Concluding you need to keep him away from you with whatever spell you have (stun,slow and knockback) and kill him when you don't have any risk to get trapped by his fast attack speed and die

 

They should nerf him a little

 

i haven't even played the game since the gameplay update

i figured that a change to major boss would be mentioned in the changelog, but i guess not.

 

There are tons of safe spots in the arena. hit him from there. easy.
done.

 

I see you do not understand how spells work for archer

Arrow shield uses half your mana and you cant even get him far enough compared with the low roof and his speed 38742

Uhhuh... An endgame boss should atleast be beatable with all classes, even if its a challenge. Even mages have trouble with him

Uhm first of all... there is a reason why i said that i dont use archer ^^ no need to point something out that i already stated before :3
Secondly other people have mentioned several strats on how to kill him :p and with stats potions he is killable... its just ot a certain win... you might die a few times and thats exactly what bosses should be like... if you fail at beating a boss you analyse his movement pattern and try to work out a strat to beat him. If just using stat potions made the win easy that would be boring af. (Also seems like plenty of other ppl also managed to beat him at the right level for the quest :3 your point? )

Honestly, I feel that they just need to nerf his speed. When I tried to solo him as Mage, he ran up to me, and then repeatedly multi-hit me until I died... RIP

make it so like
he doesn't attack or something
but he corrupts you which like slows and blinds you- you'd need to hit him to break the spell or something
and more corruptor spawn
to make the fight much balanced
