i had a thought about the mob totem. it attracts mobs/ increases spawn rates right? so my idea for it was a sort of minigame with an exp reward if you win basically the mob totem would have a 3-5 minute timer(depending on character level) and you would have to protect the totem while the timer ticks down. any exp gained would go straight to the totem instead of the character and when the timer ticked down all the way, the exp would be evenly distributed among the characters inside. the mobs that spawn would be attacking the totem, not you and if the totem was destroyed, all exp collected would be lost. i even have a way to stop totem sniping. a max of 5 players can be in the ring and you have to be in the ring already to gain the exp. anyone outside the ring would be kept out through barrier blocks and the mobs would spawn on the edge of the ring. the totem would have 500 hp and would NOT regenerate at all. please tell me what you think of it and leave comments if you have ideas on how to improve this. im not sure if it is possible to be done but it was a neat idea i thought up. the mob totem would Literally attact the monster to it and they would attack it.
