Here are some relatively minor gathering improvements. This is in place of a full rework, which I assume is planned but will take a while.

The main objective of these changes is to reduce the movement required to gather. I find moving (especially when fishing and woodcutting) to be the most annoying part.

    Fishing:
    • The fishing rod will now actually cast, like in vanilla Minecraft.
    • To get oil/meat, simply left click the rod to toggle the mode (oil, or meat).
      • This would be indicated to the player where the spell input is, upon click.
    • The rod's bobber hooks onto any nearby fishing nodes in a 3 block radius of where it flies.
    • Unlike normal Minecraft, you don't have to reel it back in. This is done automatically after the same exact amount of fishing time as is in-game currently.
    Farming:
    • The scythe now farms all nodes within a 3 block radius of the player.
    • To get string/grain, simply right click the scythe to toggle the mode (string, or grain).
    • Farming now takes as long as the total length of farming every node individually. For example, if farming 1 node takes 5 seconds for a player, and there are 3 nodes within 3 blocks of the player, farming them all at once takes 15 seconds. This is done by increasing the farming progress by a smaller value per smack.
    • There is now an option to not "lock on" to a node to begin farming. You may simply just left click the scythe and all nearby nodes will be progressed (click speed limited by the existing smack speed system). Also, you must keep clicking in this case. If the player is "locked on" to a node, manual clicks are ignored as usual.
      • All mobs will ignore players who have farmed a node within the last 2 seconds, whether or not the player is "locked on" to a node.
    • EDIT: The radius to lock onto a node is increased to 3 blocks.
    • You are indicated to be in range of a farming node by a green or yellow outline on the node. This only appears if you're holding a scythe.
    Woodcutting:
    • The axe now actually mines the tree wood. That is to say, it looks like vanilla Minecraft mining (with the block break effect).
      • Any of the tree's blocks work, even if its planks or something (they still all take the same speed to mine, as determined below). The blocks reappear after 5 seconds of not mining.
    • To get paper, simply right click the axe to toggle the mode (paper, or wood).
    • Mining an individual wood block on the tree takes (100 / (current progress per smack * (number of wood blocks to mine (3 default)))) seconds. If the time is < 0.25 seconds, mining will be instant.
    • The number of wood blocks required to fell the tree is 3 by default, 2 when individual wood speed is < 2 seconds and >= 0.75 seconds, and 1 when individual wood speed < 0.75 seconds.
      • The number of wood blocks to mine is calculated after the speed to mine an individual wood. If the number of wood blocks to mine is different than the initial condition (3), then the speed to mine a wood block is recalculated with the new number of wood blocks to mine. This recalculation only happens once.
    • All trees take 2x longer to mine and drop 2x resources and 2x XP. Refinement success is computed for each resource (you may still drop 1 resource).
    • With gspeed (or speed bomb), just add the percentage to the current progress per smack in the calculation.
    Mining:
    • All nodes can be mined twice before going on cooldown.
      • This is indicated with a slight change in the node texture, making it look slightly less resourceful.
    • To get ingot/gem, simply right click the pick to toggle the mode (ingot, or gem).
    • There is now an option to not "lock on" to a node to begin mining, just like farming. The radius to mine without locking and the radius to lock on are increased to 2 blocks.
    • You are indicated to be in range of a mining node just like farming.
