World Make Npc Able To Speak With A Voice

    A mod would be nice, but the amount of work required is insanely big. You probably don't know how many different NPCs there are, and even if some guy does the voice of 20 NPCs, it still wouldn't be enough. We don't really have voice actors, and on top of that the mod would have to be updated at the same time of actual updates

    It first I didn't know how hard it is to make the NPCs voices (by the way There are 320 NPCs) but thanks to those who reply to me I understand how hard it is.

    NOTE: read the comments PLZ there are many people who help me understand about my suggestion.

    because it first was about adding voices to their resource pack and the resource pack is official.
    This means that my idea was about adding something to their resource pack and it is something official.
    This means it belongs to this general suggestions.

    So, I actually re-wrote the Quest-VO mod that was mentioned earlier to be much easier to expand on and heavily considered getting this thing happening as a mod....
    However, I gave up because I realised how much of a huge task it would be because of these main inconveniences:
    • Every Single Voiceline would have to be voiced by the same person using the same voice, and some NPC's have voice lines that aren't immediately obvious (Under Levelled Quest, After Quests, Certain ones change depending on if you've done a certain quest for not, ect, ect) so it would be a HUGE effort with a Absolute Shit-ton of people
    • Not only does each line need to be recorded but also added into the code. Warning Code speak Incoming: So first have to define the sound in the Rescourepack sounds.json file, then you have to define the sound in the mod itself and then finally you had to associate with the message, which required the ENTIRE CHAT MESSAGE EXACTLY (some things in Wynn have inadvisable characters which are a pain). So that 3 lines of code per voice line, which might not sound like alot but when you are doing literally thousands it adds up....
    • There is just a huge amount of NPCs and other Voicelines. Ther is Quest NPCs, Non-Quest NPCs, Merchants, Dungeons Lines as well as a few other misc messages throughout the game
    There was one HUGE advantage I came up with though, i designed it in a way that though a resourcepack all of these lines could be translated into a different language, making it easier to play for non-English speakers.

    If anyone wants to take on this huge project I could probably have a look through my old files and find my mod backbone for you, just let me know.
