Make /kill Cost 3 Soul Points But Have No Chances Of Dropping Anything On Hunted Mode

from what i understand, she said that mythics should drop, but if that happens you will get the perfect legendary set, i might be wrong though

 

In the hipothetical case I invented, they can drop, but in reality they cannot drop according to some people in this thread, which is why I said that to make it more realistic, be closer to what in reality can happen, change the mythics for really good legendary items.

It is more realistic because legendary items can actually drop.

 

I think we can safely say the moral of the story is to always have a scroll with you

 

The moral is that the soul point system needs fix, not having a scroll
Scrolls are meant to be used for fast travelling, not as a band aid to a bug.

 

Having a scroll on you as a Hunted would probably be a necessary precaution, but you shouldn't lose items because there was a bug or something and you glitched inside a wall.

Not exactly. Aya never said that mythics should drop. Someone pointed out that the items they lost weren't super valuable, and so Aya made up a hypothetical case of someone losing a mythic, a very valuable item because they had to do "/kill" to escape a hole while they were playing in Hunted. Someone else told Aya that mythics didn't drop when dying in Hunted, and Aya said that that didn't matter because mythic or not, valuable items could still be (and have been) lost.

 

Just a warning, scrolls do not work inside blocks. So if you get stuck inside blocks you have to do /kill no matter what.

 

They do work inside blocks, but it depends if monsters are nearby or not :)

Really? I accidentally teleported inside of some Aldorei arch place, and I had a scroll, and it didn't work for me, even though I saw no monster tags.

 

I went to go to Necklace of a Thousand Storms to check. Necklace of a Thousand Storms has two easy spots to get trapped, being if you tp in the cave after the cage puzzle you'll quite frequently get stuck under carpets and the tp after the light puzzle tping you like 10 blocks underground for some reason. Both times, trying to use a scroll did not work.

(those are corkus scrolls in my hotbar, but I forgot to save a SS of me holding them out)

However, it is possible to use scrolls when you get stuck in holes that aren't one-by-one or aren't suffocating in a block, ofc.
But really, I'm just confused as to why we're discussing this to begin with. It doesn't fix the actual problem at hand.

Personally though, I agree with Saya's idea a lot more. I use hunted sometimes to hyperlevel a character when I get bored, and I can tell you for a fact that I would abuse the ever loving christ out of losing no items when doing /kill no matter how much SP it costed, since quite frankly your sp in Hunted is pretty irrelevant. Saya's idea isn't perfect either, since it can still be abused to a degree, but it will at least solve this issue and not let me infinitely /kill with no repercussions in the current soul point system.

When I get stuck in blocks it almost always lets me teleport I think, maybe it depends on what version you use and type of block. Like, getting trapped in Bob's tomb entrance let me teleport but that may be because I was stuck in pistons which can open idk

 

If you're playing in hunted mode, then you're clearly prepared to lose everything on your character - if not, then you shouldn't be playing hunted mode. Losing it for stupid reasons sucks, but you signed up for it, knowing that the game is glitch and can have issues.

While I agree that the soul point system needs a rework, I don't think giving hunted mode a "get out of jail free" card is a good place to start. It essentially removes the risk but gives all the same rewards; if you see someone coming to kill you, /kill and you won't lose anything! About to die to mobs? /kill and you're all good. Fall into lava in Rodoroc and be low on health? /kill and you've got nothing to worry about. That's insanely broken and essentially makes hunted mode a bonus xp mode with no downsides.

 

I'm fine with losing items to my own errors or dying to a monster.
I am, however, not fine with losing my items due to glitches I have no control over.

 

Reposting the idea since shots fanclub probably missed it:

Making you lose stuff still if you're below 6(?) soul points is probably a good middle ground, so you can't constantly stay on low soul points while /kill panic buttoning.
And if you're stuck, you can wait to regen. Nice.
