    I feel like from a low level mage aspect. I can understand why you would think they suck. Mages start off shitty. But that's how mages need to be. Once you get meteor and Ice snake and start getting some solid levels. You'll be fine. Maybe you shouldn't have started off with mage. But I can tell you that you're just not far enough into mage to seriously see the benefits

    This portion where they say it's supposed to be the "Worst class" i think they mean in the sense of damage. Overall mages are inclined to be utility builds.

    According to this, mages are SUPPOSED to do the least amount of damage. It is very apparent that that's true in early game. But not end-game.

    Endgame mages can do like 10k+ damage meteors with the right wand and armor ;-;

    Gaia and spell armor can do like 30k right?

    Actually, that's not true. Mage was always supposed to have 80% defense, but due to some miscommunication on the part of the devs in charge of that, it was accidentally given 85%. It wasn't that Mages were supposed to have 85% defense and are getting nerfed, it's that they were supposed to have 80% and are being put in their place.

    Yea, I run a water build but I only just recently got a mana regen piece. It's 3 /4 seconds, but it feels like 3 mana every 2.5 seconds, might just be me, or it might be broken xD

    5% can mean the difference between life and death.
    Trust me, there is a huge difference.
    Even stuff as small as 0.01% can make a difference.

    depends on the situation and context though
    But that's probably not the reason, more likely the class characteristics such as range and healing abilities frustrates some people.

    he means that mage having good range and healing frustrates THE OTHER CLASSES, not the mage player .-.

    he's saying that the fact mage can heal with a spell instead of potions and camp with ice snake frustrates the other classes because they can't do that.
    @Ethan_Washington never said they were underpowered in his message, so why did you assume that

    5% being between life and death only affectes you when your about to get you last 2 hits and die. In that case, it doesnt mean much. I mean, as a mage, if im about to die before I get in 2 hits I heal, and that works well with me.

    Amazing flame war, but in short:

    If you cannot deal over 50% hp to a mage repeatedly, and they have any normal endgame mana regen (6-16) you wont kill them. Ever.

    While its weapons "suck" in terms of damage, meteor does in fact do 400% damage, and it has further melee reach than warrior and assassin.

    Its final spell IS IMPOSSIBLE to miss after 66.

    Teleport is instant and lets mana builds have the same speed as agi builds without investment.

    Its designed as a support, but it can solo anything and pvp alone very well. If you think that needs a BUFF then idk what you are even doing.

    mages are by FAR the most op class, in latter game anyways in fact they kinda need a heal nerf..

    but it doesnt matter
    mage can heal to full and even if it stops attacking its enemy , mage heals , enemy doesnt , even if you deal 1k damage out of 15k and the enemy deals you 8k out of 12k , you tp away and heal it all back and you are at an advantage , unless you go in in one rush and finish the mage it will never die

    warrior counter archer
    archer counters mage
    and mage is supposed to counter only assassin but as you said it also counters warrior pretty dang well because of its insane heals

    make mage do as much as all he classes combined and just make it so when you do a spell combo, it'll do that spell combo from any other class with it. SOUNDSS GUCCCCI

    It's a great counter to assassin but a worse counter to warrior. Most warriors can one shot most mages.
    Archers are great against mages because of high damage in a short period of time.
    Mages are great against assassins because of aoe spells.
    Assassins are great against warriors because of mad damage and stealth.
    Warriors are great against archers because thier high defense lets them rush in ignoring the high damage attacks.
