Limit Spawn Range To Players

The game and mod is great but nobody like having mobs spawn on their head the entire time they are playing. It makes it frustrating and increases difficulty unnecessarily at times.
I suggest a spawn buffer of at least 6 blocks from a player.

 

I believe this is already the case. Mobs used to be able to spawn very close to the player but I'm pretty sure we changed it so they can't, excluding a few mobs that will always spawn at a set node.
Also Wynntils is an unofficial add on.

 

I have been walking through dropping meteor or totems as I walk killing and mobs were literally spawning in me on emerald path, out in the desert and in the forest with the spiders.
