That's true, but the raw melee penalty looks like the kind of numbers that I would have expected pre-buff.

 

As one of the few current contrast users and one of the advocates against the last contrast revamp, I am perfectly happy with this new contrast. It keeps the idea of having wildly varied IDs for each element but also gives it better general use. Plus it fits really well into my current build

 

Yea this change was pretty much trying to juggle making it more viable outside of a health patch while also keeping the identity that people clearly loved on it. Glad you like the change :)

Because it indeed is worse

 

barely worse, but still worse and not a buff

 

Damage is overall worse. However it does mean thunder is more viable on Stinger now.

Earth is also more viable since you get full conversion. The benefit to Thunder is greater though.

I honestly hate how crafted weapon attack speed results are completely random. It sucks so much to get fast attack speed when you were hoping for slow attack speed for example, especially when you put 30+ le worth of materials and ingredients into the recipe, basically throwing away most of your work and money you put into crafting the weapon.
There really should be a way to choose what attack speed you will get as a crafting result because the way it currently is, is just not acceptable in my opinion.
Also it would be amazing to somehow create weapons with base speeds like super slow or very slow, honestly its a shame we cannot create weapons like that.

 

What if there were ingredients that modified the base attack speed? (might get confusing with also having ingredients that give +/- tier)

Very cool! Ex is actually sleeping right now due to timezone differences, I will edit in his response in a later time.

Shout out to another trial IM who made it past the very end only to have to withdraw from the position due to life issues, your sacrifices will not be in vain. That being said, with new faces, there are also some that have to part ways with the team due to various circumstances. But fear not, the IM team are more than ready to crank out new changes, updates and revamps!
