    this isn't doing any shenanigens with the atree reducing costs sometimes or mana bank
    if you add dtide this item is borderline irrelavent

    31.98 -> 31 cost
    this item just got ratio'd by demon tide
    unless this formula is wrong, or im bad at maths

    I altered the roll range so that it’s not absurdly powerful (mythic level) with really good rolls while absurdly bad (normal level) with really bad ones. If it was a real item, it would need alterations. But yes, it isn’t a legitimate ID roll range.

    i mean ok altered roll range aside (you can't just do that lol) even with max rolls this item is not even mythic level. using the idea of mana value (read hppeng's thread if you havent!), at max rolls this gives -20 mana value from cost per second (6cps) and +26 mana value from mana regen per second, so it's at best worth 6 mana per second and gets worse at higher cps

    this means it's worse than deux (6.9 mana value), and significantly worse than stuff like aquarius (10.4) and anima-infused cuirass (12), with the upside of no req and the downside of low health and nothing else. realistically, it's probably somewhat usable as a mana battery in builds that abuse stuff like slayer and convergence to hit 0-cost spells, but even then, i might as well just build damage instead.

    Without altered rolls, it would be +130 mana per five seconds (26/sec) with +8 to each spell’s cost, and if you casted 2 spells per second, it would be +10 mana per second. The problem is, without altered rolls, it’s +6 mana per sec with +20 to each spell’s cost at minimum (or -34 mana per second with 2 spells/second). It’s not very powerful (low hp, no side benefits) but it’s meant to work with other factors to become powerful, and I messed with the roll range so that an OK roll is good enough, a super good roll isn’t insanely good, and a super bad roll doesn’t make it into a knock-off inhibitor. If you want to try balancing it better without making it super abusable, go ahead and try. I didn’t put a ton of effort into balancing it anyways, I don’t care.

    Late but screens in current gen ou are almost never used defensively, the only real example of defensive screen use is light screen toxapex, which is only really to screw over futureport set ups. Screens are only really used on hyper offense teams to enable set up sweepers, meaning that the dedicated screens setter's role is to get in, set screens, and then get out, positioning one of the sweepers. The main reason why screens pyukumuku is an unset is because that it's an awful setter. Compare it to tapu koko, a quite popular screen setter, for example. Between its absurd speed, taunt, and enough bulk to be practically impossible to OHKO with screens, eating even modest nidoking sludge wave from full with just 252 hp and light screen, it's almost guaranteed to set up both screens. This coupled with its ability to pivot in u-turn and support its teammates with the electric terrain it sets, make it a top pick for screens HO. Or alolan ninetales, who, while slower than tapu koko and lacking taunt or pivoting, is able to compression screens turns down to one turn with aurora veil, is still plenty fast, notably tying kartana, can still create opportunities with easy switches with encore and hypnosis, and sets hail, forcing chip on your opponent and enabling arctozolt. Pyukumuku, while bulky, is not absurdly so; its good defenses are let down by its poor hp, rendering it sizebly less bulky than even slowbro, and it's also one of the slowest pokemon in the entire game, making it almost always have to take a hit before setting the first screen, and another before setting the next. This means that strong neutral hits or super effective hits are able to kill it before its able to get both screens up, making it unable to guarantee both screens. Furthermore, while it does have taunt, it's so slow that it's always going to get taunted first. This coupled with its lack of pivoting and any other form of support for the team make it an utterly abhorrent screens user.

    ambiv is either broken unusable or broken damage with x. its hard to reach a compromise when passive damage corners spell damage building into a corner :(
