Except Ox7cf was being very objective and neutral in the original post, not calling out any alliance or politics of any kind in particular? Point out ONE line in ox7's original post that was biased. The screenshot was only used to illustrate the point, not a blatant attack on Imperial for the sake of politics.

ANYWAYS, I'll take my own advice here and leave an objective reply: I see "subguild abuse" as grossly bypassing what should be normally possible of a main guild's ability to war, by in mere minutes creating many extra angles of attack for the main guild to artificially overwhelm their opponents. That is strategy, but it's also rigged in many manners, and is a really desperate tactics in my opinion. The use of like, 1 or 2 subguilds is different, from the use of like 6 or more, and that's why this thread was made i believe. Could this cause a few problems to legitimate guild creation and migration? Possibly, and perhaps some staff members/experienced guild owners could provide some alternative mechanics to achieve this same goal. I don't see a subguild control mechanism as absolutely 100% essential now/in the future, but I am more supportive of it than not.

If you had 15 guilds attacking you, then maybe you should claim less land to prevent that or recruit people from different timezones

Yeah if one alliance owns 60% of the map at all times, they should be expected to get heavy fire if guilds want their lands.

Also i know how it feels, and saying 15+ guilds is really exaggerating; the number of guilds attacking NzT at once has never exceeded 5 or 6, so it's a little hard to take your posts seriously when ur really obsessing on the numbers.

Nonetheless, I see this as well thought out, if flawed, idea. Out of respect for the thread creator I shall end my responses here, because I gave my opinion and I don't want to debate to the point where i might lash out more. So yeah, have a good day y'all.

If you have 15 guilds attacking you, you should think about why did that happen. Perhaps it's your foreign affairs. My suggestion is not the one to blame. Neither can you use subguilds to cheat the system.

Ok one last thing: Imperial basically sent a challenge to the entire server with comments their leader made, maybe that's why theyre getting mass assaulted. I'l just gonna take this thread off my follow list so i wont be tempted to respond anymore.

I would like to see people's opinions on this thread. But when I see a post talking about guild's, it immediately shows me that there are people here that are not respecting the core thread, and discussing politics. I will gladly switch my vote to a 'No' if I can find an unbiased post that explains the counter argument to the thread :saltedhappy:

As many of ya'll already stated, this discussion is surrounding the use of sub-guilds. Since Subbing is technically against the rules I will personally advice any guild or guild leaders to stray from such a path.

Though maintaining the same thought, I do NOT believe that guild hoppers should be punished. We have a wonderful warring community which sometimes goes overboard, and which sometimes experience major periods of stress, though non-the-less we all enjoy and rely on guild hoppers to a certain extent.

Allies and enemies alike should be permitted to help and war within other guilds, guilds which are considered in the rules as "main guilds". An example of this could be a lone Fox warrer or IBT warrer wishing to war with, or assist with warring in ERN. This is a highly enjoyable part of the game and should not be punished with a cooldown. It is also an aspect of the game which connects guilds and strengthens intra-guild relationships. Though I do believe that this issue could be solved by a simple follow-up on a sub-guild warring rule, much like the one mentioned above (rule 18).

Just my two cents, hopefully guild hoppers and the community as a whole, will not be punished simply because of a few bad apples.

I believe this is a great suggestion, in the end its enforcing rule #18. Right now the rule is not 100% clear or enforced anymore, but I feel like this would be a small step in that direction.

I actually agree with these points 0x has made. It’s not a punishment, it’s more of a regulation. I do think it should be implemented or some form of it to regulate guilds.
And guys, please be professional. Please don’t argue about irrelevant topic and focus mainly on the topic. Let’s all try to be friends here <3

I’m extremely against the vast majority of regulation on the guild community. Guilds are meant to be player driven. They’re the one aspect of this game can do pretty much whatever we want with. If mods step in and start banning common and smart non game breaking ways that guilds are able to gain an advantage over enemies then it ruins the fun.
Guild community should be free of regulation so that it can be our own and not determined by arbitrary rules enforced by the staff.

I agree, I think other than not using alt accounts for warring which isn't unreasonable at all tbh should be the extent of regulations on guilds, it's a game and people will play as they please, this whole thing got way out of hand and it's not worth it to be honest, there's no reason for it. If you can outplay or outsmart your opponent with a somewhat unorthodox strategy go for it.

No warring with alt accounts is the only regulation I can get behind because it legitimately does create an unfair advantage. Allows one person to war with the strength of however many alts they have.

But sending members to other guilds is perfectly fine. If a guild has a bunch of active members and the war speed caps out at 3 people, why shouldn’t they be able to use their extra activity in an advantageous way?
Every guild can split up in to other guilds. This just allows guilds that have legitimately put time and effort in to activity to use it to their advantage instead of being on equal footing with half dead guilds

Oki just to sort out all confusion regarding the rules and whether this is bannable, here's a statement made by mod manager @Salkasm and admin jpresent when I asked about it during a recent exchange:
    Code:
    - You are allowed to war on sub-guild, as long as every participant is a main account. This means they are forbidden to war on any alternate account for a long duration.
    And when asked about whether members could be interchangeable;
    upload_2019-1-5_0-51-11.png

Feeding was already discussed and ruled allowed a few months back during Federation, therefore making the whole procedure entirely rule conforming and rendering rule #18 stated on the forums thread outdated.

Cool, then update rule #18 if you actaully care about players making informed decisions, not just posts like this is threads turned flame war. I don't mean to be rude but this is outrageous u can't even keep the official rules thread up to date with simple copy/paste of these provisions, both for the Alt account rule and rule #18
