I'm trying out writing up some bestiary entries for the 10,000 mobs. Lot of work, but I've covered a good bit so far. It brought me to a thought.

Take the Shinesting Scorpion. Probably pretty valuable, yes? And it drops a tail. Perhaps there could be some lore that the tails are seen as valuable, possibly being delicacies or treasures.

So perhaps you could have a merchant buy it from you...

Basically, have mobs and their ingredient drops be deeper by having the mobs tied more into their local areas. A bestiary with lore entries would work well, but that's tricky to implement. You could have NPCs, then, talk about a lot of local monsters, and give some interesting lore tidbits, like Shinesting Scorpion Tails being treasured by Almujites, for my example. And these lore tidbits have a gameplay impact, because you could bring a tail to the guy who told you they were valuable, and he'd buy it off you for a fair sum.

To further aid immersion, instead of having a bunch of ambient NPCs each with only a single dialogue block, you could have a small number of NPCs that have a bunch of dialogue blocks. So you could talk to them with the tree, or they'd just randomly pick a dialogue block to use. So this could be a lore dispenser with gameplay-relevant bits, and you can do sort of mini-tasks.

Insanely prolific, but quantity over quality sometimes unfortunately.
Anyway this just seems...not needed, as ingredients have a use, which is to be ingredients.

I don’t think a bestiary is a good idea not just because of how many mobs there are, but also because it would be a nightmare to maintain. Hundreds of mobs have been removed or changed throughout Wynncraft’s history, especially in this update. Plus a lot of mobs are just grunt cannon fodder. That’s why if a bestiary was ever implemented, it would work best to include only bosses.
