huh, haven't done the boss altar in a while then. i just figured it wasn't a world discovery because of the blue name, but that makes a lot more sense

Also it make sense, Theorick's ice can easily destroy corruption, Rickeo and Dwendle's should be less effective but can definetly beat CoW

 

Not destroy, only slow down and it is ice magic in general (or I was told so).

It is propably that the low temperature makes it slow down

 

When his ice spike emerge from the ground it make corrupteds disappear.

Also is there actually anyway to cure corrupt other than destroying Dern beast/bakal

Cure? Propably not. You can't even cure it by defeating Bak'al. Where did you get this idea?

 

Because dern beast is the final boss
If you can't cure so the corrupted places are forever corrupted? Or you need to destroy ALL corrupted roots and the portal?

In one of Fate of the Fallen's cutscene where he killed corrupteds that are chasing a Nessak resident

 

With what we have seen so far, there is no way to cure/remove the corruption. Defeating Bak'al or the Dern Beast would do nothing.

Bak'al is just a very intelligent corrupted being that leads the armies, not some corruption incarnate.

The Dern Beast is completely unrelated. It is Darkness in physical form, and that's only half of what is needed to make corruption (though wouldn't removing Darkness mean that new corruption can't be created anymore????). The only relation that the Dern Beast and corruption have is that Bak'al serves the Beast.

 

How would you display corspes of zombies? Thats most propably the reason.

defeating the possibly the upcoming final boss of a video game = removing one of the main antagonist forces that the boss isn't even related to

 

But I guess the game need to have a "source" or "leader" of corruption for the player to defeat? I don't think they'll make a end game quest of destroying every single corruption root in the world it is just insane.

Isn't the main goal of the game removing corruption, decay and dernic?


Also corruption is clash of light and dark, but the corrupted like bakal tend to help darkness. And if you remove darkness than there's only light left. When there's only light left corruption won't exist.

And decay is darkness creepeing into light. When darkness is gone light will become whole again instead of decay.

Dernic is the direct effect of darkness, destroying darkness=destroying dernic

 

In what sense? Storywise those are some of the main enemy forces that the player battles against, though the only one so far that the game expects the player to destroy out of those is Decay (I don't think it's ever said that the player should destroy corruption entirely).

Firstly, Bak'al serves Darkness, and secondly, he is the only corrupted we ever see to cooperate with Darkness in any way.

The corruption is an independent force. Removing Darkness (most likely) would not stop it.

If it is so that the player will destroy Darkness, it will surely be after the Decay is dealt with.

"Dernic" literally means "from Dern" or "Dern-ish". It's the same thing as saying "American" or "French".

 

Your job is to help fight the Corruption, not to destroy it (the fact that you are the worst Ragni guard is a detail). The main goal is propably killing the Dern Beast.

Also we can't forget that it has to be replayable. If you destroy the cure and save the world, what will others do?

There can be two explainations of what this means:
Either Bakal also helped spreading the darkness over slient expanse.
Or the corrupting the land is the dern beast's will

 

The Dern Beast's will is to destroy Light, and as can be seen, the corruption is helping

 

So they are working together...
