Raw Spell Mage levels the playing field against Rainbow Slap.

 

Raw spell Mage is honestly- Not very good, Raw spell only works with Archer or Assassin... If you want to defeat Rainbow Tanks with Mage you'd probably rather go full poison.

 

raw spell on mage is very good, because raw spell will get multiplied by spell multiplier (mage meteor 400%, 1 arrow per arrow storm / multihit hit is 10%).

If you're true I might want to test this later, But last I checked 200 raw spell meant just 200 more damage for each spell.

Edit - Me and Larz tested it, Apparently he was right, The damage display for raw spell has just been really, Really broken.

 

Archer and Assassin are the weakest of the Raw Spell classes, because of how Raw Spell actually works.

Raw Spell is affected by spell multiplier, which mean that classes with high reliable spell multipliers like Mage and Warrior with their 400% and 375% are the strongest. To top it off, Mage has Bonder and the ability to get enough sp to use Diamond Hydro Necklace, meaning that it has the highest spammability of all of them, while retaining similar levels of damage per hit.

Just to put in my opinion, rainbow slap is overused, and I helped push it there, sorry about that =(
A rainbow slap is by definition
A build that is just a traditional rainbow tank with another weapon thrown or and perhaps a one or two piece change, that uses another weapon for the sake of it, even though t doesn't fit.

This build while following the first portion of the definition, it really isn't someone taking a classic build and being like, cataclysm works here and adding it, that would be rainbow slap. This is someone embodying what rainbow defence is in the current meta.

I'm a firm believer that you can get by just fine without using rainbow defences, I do it well enough, but people are lazy. They put together the build with the best cost:strength:effort ratio and call it a day. Rainbow builds fit perfectly as the items tend to be pretty easy to buy/find for not too much, they make you near immortal, and they take no effort to make at all.

 

Oh hey someone figured the build I used for about 4+ Months until now. Well, graz, you have one of the highest/the highest rainbow tank now :§

it kind of depends
for example, assassins have the potential to go full glass cannon (no rainbow slap) because spin attack's blinding stun and multihit's ability to move targets around the map and keep them away from you makes it so as long as you have the mana regeneration, know how to avoid the spells, and know what you're doing, you CAN beat people, in PVE and PVP. Archers can kind of do this, but because pretty much ALL of the arenas for PvE are designed for close-quarter combat, and archer in general needs a buff, so it's not as effective.

I'm pretty sure that raw spell damage is affected by the spell damage multiplier. Since mage has the highest single spell damage multiplier with a 400% meteor, it's probably your best bet
