    I agree to this.

    Maybe instead of having it be Mythics, we have it be Rares, or Legendaries, or special Uniquest.

    This system has appeared in the games Borderlands 1, 2, and the Pre Sequel.

    Example of what I mean (Taken from borderlands):

    If you watch in the video, the red text on the weapon's stats menu gives it that special ability, it basically shoots a horizontal way with 5 bullets moving in a wave motion. Basically what you could do, is instead of the weapon being mythic tier, maybe change it to a special Unique weapon, or maybe a quest item. Basically, it wouldn't be too op, due to the fact that it's not a mythic, so it doesn't have that mythic damage, and maybe the ability could be something really special and worth while, but the damage output be low so that its damage output works with the ability. I know of one weapon that kinda has an ability, and that would be the Roulette:

    Roulette
    • Damage: 0-11
    • Fire Damage: 0-0
    • Water Damage: 0-0
    • Thunder Damage: 0-11
    • Earth Damage: 0-0
    • Attack Speed:SUPER_FAST
    • Lv. Min : 79
    • Dexterity Min: 40
    • Melee Damage: 1100
    • XP Bonus: 8
    • Loot Bonus: 8
    • Dexterity: 4
    (Copied from the item guide)

    it has very low normal Damage output, but the melee/lightning damage stats in the weapons stat pool makes up for it, basically making it so you have nearly millions of combinations of attack damage amounts. or at least it seems.

    I just honestly see this as a cool idea, that is awesome on paper, but the execution of the explanation was a bit off... Maybe take it away from Mythics, and then give it to some items that are lower tiered... cause no one really gives those items much love. It's always either Legendaries, or now, Mythics.

    You can legitimately get through level 1-100 without using anything other than legendaries (Except for the starter items) which is a little sad... maybe give those items a little more of a chance to have a spotlight. I support this idea, but I want it changed to NOT be mythics.

    Well then you should know that it shouldn't be just for mythics, they could make new Uniques, or quest items to build upon this idea. Like Tantibus said, the idea is good, but it shouldn't be just for Mythics, or else it would be too op.

    I'll make a separate thread on that in the morning.
    Not Uniques though, they're really common. Some rares and most Legendaries I'm all for.

    I don't want anything in the unique tier with it. Make everything that gets it a rare.

    You just don't understand what I mean do you...

    I'm saying give Uniques these things also, because they're weaker than most legendaries... why not give the Uniques some, so that they can get more love/attention... it's a bit ignorant to give it to only Rares and legendaries, cause they're already good. Give some to some Uniques... that will get more people willing to use them :/

    It doesn't ruin the point. But, you know, I'm done arguing. You obviously don't understand that you just want to be overpowered by giving weapons that are already really good, a buff. It's not a good idea to just give items that are already good a buff with an ability that a weapon of a lower tier could get. It just flat out doesn't make sense. It makes you look a little ignorant, and a little naive because you don't realize what Tantibus a GM said, he said that they wouldn't do that with those because it could make them OP. You need to learn when something just won't work, and it would just make Uniques absolutely obsolete if they weren't made with some of these abilities. It just makes no sense. And just because you're the creator of this idea, it doesn't really mean you have a final say in the situation. A GM could make these, and then completely skip over your "No Unique items" rule, honestly, it doesn't ruin the point, because if this is based off of the Borderlands item system, as you said it was. Then the items that have the red text in borderlands, that are blue rarity are called Unique.

    So please, stop being kinda rude about this, all I am doing is giving you ideas to make it better, and more likely to happen, and all you keep doing is keep shooting me down. All I am doing is helping you critique it, so that it would be more balanced, or likely to happen.

    But, oh well, I'm done arguing an argument I can't win due to it going absolutely no where.

    And the entire point of rares is that they're RARE. As in rarer than uniques. And the entire point of legendarys is that there LEGENDARY. Just like the main point of this thread is to make mythics feel more MYTHICAL.

    rare =/= unique
    legendary > unique
    mythical =/= legendary
    mythical =/= unique
    mythical =/= rare

    EDIT: based off your logic
    I was just stating something, I don't want to be part of this arguement.

    +1 supporter, good concept, haven't read all the comments but maybe this could be implemented into certain items after the powder slots are maxed or some other requirement. As well maybe not making the effects extremely game changing (such as to the point wheres it completely changes the meta of different classes :P), but just enough to were it changes up how we can all play to our own respective play styles in a bit more effective and enjoyable way. (my opinion, constructive criticism only please)

    Yes! Unique Mythics. I think a great example to compare these to would be Exotics from Destiny (as much as I hate to talk about the game). Giving Mythics special abilities would make them much more sought after and could even be the completion of a build. Also, it allows for extended gameplay (as abusive as it sounds).
