Really good idea, but fucking hell i feel sorry for whichever sorry soul has to code this.

Oh man, that WAS an idea, this being where the battery is the sourse of everything, and guantlet was a shell.

You would have to unplug and plug in this battery often, and i found this to be pointless amd a bit op for the rich to have many batteries, however EMB sounded way to good to drop so...

 

I like the idea, but I dont think it would fit. The whole thing of Corkus is that only they have electromagic, not the player. But I will admit, it would be fun to play around with!

what i mean is if they can have giant fukin mechs made out of a solid, unflexible rock they can damn well have lasers

i understand what you mean except this is very late game, so they have done SOME quests which break the immersion, e.g rise of the quartron, and the whole of corkus is based around more advanced technology than the rest of the available provinces. also, who is to say that it is a sci-fi based laser? lasers could very easily be magical based, like a magic crystal. theyre all over the damn place. dude we play a game where people summoning meteors and ice snakes, a laser fits in with the lore pretty snugly.

 

corpus only use electomagic steam powered stuff. ad quatron is a small boss that nobody really remembers but having a freakin laser arm at all times would just make it stupid and to futuristic. the only reason this has up votes is because of all the 8 year olds thinking lasers are cool

 

corkus nerds + mage island weebs = people who are fully capable of building a laser. if a miner can build a mech powered by a redstone block then lasers are very easily do able. did you miss the ice snakes and meteors are also accepted things, so the wynn soldiers themselves have definitely got the ability to use magic. i see your point about ruining the immersion but tbh it doesnt stray too far from the area it is set in, corkus.

What i find partcularly funny is how your complaining about the laser of all things being too unmedeieval, when i have however many robots summoned Borderlands 2 style into the battlefeild, the discount gravity gun, and a gotta get outta here to Corkus City teleport.

But no, the LASER is too un medieval like. The thing i designed to be "for your convenience, which i find to be rare being how many can solo bosses without this entire arm."

This thread is pretty good. But I think instead of getting your arm ripped off, I think you should stumble onto a gem and give it to the scientists. Who make a breakthrough and make wearable electromagic. Just my 2 cents. *Prepares to get Gannon hated*

 

I mean, sure, the arm being ripped off can be re written to be just a WIP guantlet for wynnic soldiers, to boost the Corkian global stance, but where's the fun in not putting some darkness to the game, couldn't hurt to add a bit of morbidity to game in one endgame quest.
