I'm wondering whether the item team has already made a decision about this; if not, it's something I would kind of like to see some support for when the items are revamped.

When I refer to "dual wielding" here I'm referring to the alternated use of two significantly distinct weapons on the same build. I'm not trying to suggest being able to hold and use two weapons at the same time. I'm also not counting secondaries solely dedicated for walk speed, health regen or lifesteal; they're common and braindead usually not integral to the build they're in, but rather merely support weapons intended for an out-of-combat function.

I've tried a TWA Divzer/Return to Ether build in the past. Divzer brings its high damage and lifesteal to the build, whilst Return to Ether supplies 10/4mr, 105int, 80%ws and 128agi. It's a weaker Divzer build but one that carries agility, essentially.

The combination can yield incredible versatility compared to traditional builds. I do understand however that such builds are however much weaker than their standard counterparts overall, notably because they are incredibly sp tight and also tend to be unreliable if you don't use the right weapon at the right moment.

It's not really a big deal but I'd be happy if this got a bit of support in the elemental revamp. Tri-elemental support is already encouraging since the greater multi-elemental support also creates a greater pool of items that can support multiple weapons, but skill points are nevertheless a worry.

    Thoughts on this?

The loss of viable dual-wielding in revamp was a bit hit (especially for spell builds, with how high mob ele defs are).
