Classes: The Soldier (925+ Supporters) - Updated To 1.1.4 Stats!

Suddenly glad I made a Warrior based around war scream.
Now I just need practice c:

 

As in, the enemy has to be moving in the same direction as the projectile for the whole 30-block or so range.

 

So like if you were in a narrow hallway and the enemy was coming straight for you and you line it up perfectly?

 

They would have to be moving away from you to get hit by it every possible time like that.

 

Hey, what about making Bob's mythic axe stats or a mythic?

 

Mythics have a strange power scale. In addition, Bob never wielded an axe, so it would not make sense for the axe sold for the Corrupted Treasure to be a Bob's Mythic. I used to have one, but once the power scaling changed for items, the "Old Runic Axe" as it was called was removed from the reference scale. The same went for Crystalline Edge, the token Lv 70 legendary. Besides, if this does get in the game, I would not want to ruin the surprise of finding these items for yourself by listing their special effects, would I...?

 

But why would you do ToL with this class then? For the xp? There came so many quests that give more xp in total then ToL, the only reason People do it is because of the weapons. If a new class gets added the Story has to be changed.

 

Or, the weapon sold for the Corrupted Treasure could simply not be named as a Mythic, despite its power being comparable...

 

That would solve the Problem!

 

...which was my original intent, if you paid attention. I said the shop would sell an "Old Runic Axe" rather than a Bob's Mythic.

 

The monk wont be a really good "suit" to the game.
the viking, may have a 50% 50% chance to be a good suggestion.
and the shaman, depends on what spells it has, since we have had more than 2 shaman suggestions.

Yo, are you guys accepting GM applicaitons?
If you guys are, I sent mine 2 days ago and I still haven't received a response, im not being unpatient its just that I was wondering if you guys still where accepting.

 

We are, but a few things...this is not really the place to talk about it, so let this be the last word on the topic.

If you do not receive a response, your GM app either has not been looked at, or it has been denied. Spamming applications will not help your chances, although you can send in as many as you want...I would recommend waiting 1-1.5 weeks before sending another application, and try to think really on what you could improve in terms of both the items and the quest quality before sending in another.

 

I like this idea, but since all it is is an alternate version of the warrior class (i see the connection with the original warrior spells) I think if this were to be implemented, you should create an alternate class for archers too. Or some other form of ranged classes. maybe a ranged class that has higher defense, but less damage... it is like a similar half archer.
Another great idea that i have. maybe we can have soldier and warrior to both use spears (to give the GM's some elbow room) and the other tanky ranged class can also use bows but they get like a sort of damage debuff or just their spells to a lot less dmg.

 

The Soldier was not meant to be a Warrior alternate. I think that they are quite different...

 

oh one last thing, when we are creating the items does it need to be any item or a quest item

It must be gear. We see so many people post "nothing" or "<item name>, quest item", but you must create gear.

They do not fit.

I like the idea except for the fact that it needs 150 levels to unlock. Seems like a little too much.

 

I feel that these two classes have very similar playstyles. The soldier class is possibly an air water build of the warrier class. Besides, having this class use spears will save alot of time from the gms. Plus, as soldiers, they should be using spears anyways lore wise. Finally, this is an additional melee class (ignoring my first claim) so if you would add another melee class, then another non melee class should be added to keep the melee-ranged balance in place.



Also keep in mind, the melee classes (warrior amd assasin) are already underplayed. Adding a third melee will only add another underplayed class to the roster. Yes interesting, but that wont really matter to a player just starting their jouney through wynn amd gavel. (This last post is based on the fact that almost no new player using those classes)
