Classes: The Soldier (925+ Supporters) - Updated To 1.1.4 Stats!

There is probably something...but what it might be, I have no idea currently.

Not anymore. Try creating a new class; there are now four categories out of a 5-point scale rather than three categories. I swapped it over from the 9 point total, 3 category scale just earlier.

Maybe name it "Warlord"?
Because in its lore it states "Hailing from many battles previous"
And the reskin version is the "Marauder" or the "Raider" to make it broad (because the axe welding part gives it like a "barbaric" feel)

 

I read through the spells and it seems like a close ranged "spell user" so here are some more names:

1. Warlock
2. Blood Knight
3. Demon Slayer

 

Warrior, Archer, Mage, Assassin, "Warlord/Warlock/Blood Knight/Demon Slayer".

It sticks out like a sore thumb.

 

Raider doesn't sound too bad, right?

 

Change a few of the skills around to be a more holy/divine feel and name it paladin or templar

First skill: fine
Second Skill: I don't know another name that describes strafing and is holy
Third Skill: Holy Lance? Dash? Light something?
Fourth Skill: Fortitude? Constitution? Empower? (Class name) Resolve? Judgement? Aura of something? Purify/Purification? Nova something?

Paladin/Templar is too close to Knight, which already has holy-themed abilities.

 

First of all, I would like to start by saying that I absolutely love this class idea. Lots of details, and what seems to be a balanced concept overall. However, can I ask a simple question about the weapon?

The ax is the main weapon for the Soldier. However, now that 1.1.4 has come out. Are there going to be any other weapon textures for the soldier. Since warrior has multiple weapon skins like the trident (for water), hammer (for earth). And assassin have claws, daggers, and swords. I was wondering what would the other weapon types would be?

 

A. the warrior also gets the scythe
2. Different types of axes maybe? like hatchets, tomahawks, double sided war axes, etc.

 

How much does damage increase does strength do?
because to me, having a build focused around melee damage and then have a ton of strength would be kinda op, not to mention high amounts of mobility and knockback.

Quick question, the topic says that stats have been updated to for 1.1.4, which hasn't come out yet. Is this a typo or is it another name for an update that's come out?

getting 500% damage on those takes a lot of skill with you being required to corner someone with the arrow storm spell. Hit them with each bounce for the bomb arrow spell. or keep them within a certain area for the smoke bomb. And while getting 500% damage is unlikely it detracts from the skill requirements of the class and makes it more luck based. Maybe less of a range for damage dealt to keep it from being a entirely luck based class with water Soldiers spamming succor over and over again.

 

I thought 14.0.0 was the gavel update and 14.01 - 14.0.10 were small changes

 

Cornering someone with Arrow Storm is rather easy. Hitting with more than three bounces of Bomb Arrow is...tricky, but far from un-doable. Getting the full 500% damage out of Smoke Bomb is easy as you please. Walk around them for a bit, use Spin Attack to freeze them, Vanish to stop the enemy...

Succor is less of an offensive spell, despite the high maximum damage making it seem like it is. Just like how War Scream's maximum damage is...somewhere in the neighborhood of 1500%+, it is almost impossible to achieve(you will usually get something like 80-120% at best).

Still its all lumped into one percentage chance with zero skill involved making it more luck then skill. I like the idea i just thought that making it more skill based would be good as that was the original idea. Maybe some kind of multiple timed shockwave thing? like it pulsates and sends out multiple shockwaves so you have to time it right? i don't know it just doesn't seem to fit with the class idea.
