You can't have a "statement" if you're not entirely sure it's true and is everyone's opinion.

Speaking on behalf of basically everybody in this thread, we can all see both sides. The problem isn't that we don't understand your side of the argument, the problem is that we disagree with you on a fundamental level. If you want to make a suggestion, that's great, but you also need to be able to listen to people who disagree with your opinions.

From what I've seen, there have been three main arguments leveled against your idea:
    1. It was a bad quest (People don't want it back because they don't enjoy it)
    2. There are too many quests in that level area already (If it was there, nobody would bother playing it when they could do something else)
    3. It was replaced with a more widely enjoyed quest (Having another quest where you throw shit in lava would be redundant)

So far, your only response to these counter arguments has been to say that you enjoyed it and the lore it brought to the game. Your responses are failing to change peoples minds because you aren't addressing the concerns people have, and are instead doubling, tripling and quadrupling down on your initial idea, instead of building cohesive arguments to support your side of the debate. As it stands, it's like you're in a completely different argument from the rest of us.

Also, pointing out the one person who agrees with you and claiming they're the only one who understand is a really narrow minded thing to do, which is extremely ironic if you ask me.

Good response. I'm glad you aren't taking this as an attack on your character, nor are you leaning on attacking others.

I'm sorry if I seem to be a bit sensitive. I was hoping people would have seen both sides of the argument, a lot of what I say is rubbish but we all make silly mistakes: "new quests are rubbish", which they're not. I don't like being insulted, as everyone else doesn't, and I would never dream of insulting anyone else on a civilised forum page.

Let me reiterate: Quest that involves talking to person A, walking to B, talking to person C, is trash.

literally everyone who commented on this thread and gave the exact same reason? except that one dude who "understood" you.

the only time when you said someone understood you, was when they fully agreed with you. As for every other post before the Windows XP guy, you gave the same exact point ad nauseam. Now you're going back on your words? That annoys me. Don't repeat your mistakes.

I'm not sure I like your aggresive manner of speaking, my man. Try to be more civil in this discussion please. And you can't just call the old quests "trash", that is narrow-minded in my opinion. (I'm not calling you narrow-minded just what you said at that bit). The Wynncraft team spent hundreds of combined hours making those, please show some respect eh :)

Windows Vista actually, but I totally see where the confusion came from. Once I got rid of the ring, they're basically the same logo :D

Also, there's no need to be so hostile. We're all friends here, and we all want what's best for the game, even if we disagree on the little details.

Maybe selective is a better word. You respond only to the comments with bad arguments or the one you agree with.

I'm gonna have to say no to this one. While I did like the reference to Lord of the Rings it was kind of boring up until the end. I loved Mt. Wynn as a build. Seeing it reduced to a much smaller (correct me if I'm wrong on this one. It's been a long time) "fetch a pal of water" fetch quest was upsetting. But bringing it back after all these other updates just seems unrealistic. I would not be happy with that.

I mean hey, my name is TheRelicHunter. How do you think I feel now that relics are removed.

Anyways, hope this post satisfied you. Have a great day.

P.S. if you want another LoTR reference the elf quests have elf names from LoTR.

Yes you can... there is no definition of "statement" that says the "statement" must be true.

    Take the following "statements":
    - "Apples are fruits"
    - "Apples are vegetables"

Both of these are statements, it just so happens that one is true in our world according to science, and one is false. So the argument that someone can't make a statement just because it is not true is both fallacious and incorrect. The same goes for the argument that opinions are not statements (which you don't directly state but is what I am interpreting from the second part of your quote), just because a statement is opinionated does not mean it is not a statement.

This is not meant to be harsh so don't take it as such, but understand that your argument for adding back Lord of the Clock is fairly weak and unsupported.

This section is also flawed argument as well. "Seeing both sides of the argument" doesn't mean "I agree with you." (No intent to bring in the person whom you are quoting). I am fairly certain that the majority of those voting "no" can see both sides of the argument, it just so happens that one side makes more sense than the other if you happen to read the many posts by people explaining why they voted no, including my own. Most of the people voting yes are saying they found it kind of fun, or they enjoyed the reference. That is really it, compared to the many more reasons why it shouldn't be added back (doesn't fit lore, boring fetch quest for most people, lack of any real story, no real challenge or danger present, etc.) makes for a fairly weak argument.

While I hope you actually read the opposing arguments, it seems to me that, as mentioned earlier, you are quite "selective" in who you respond to. So in the end, whether you read this or not does not affect me that much, I just hope to prove a few points here to strengthen the argument against adding back Lord of the Clock.
