World Barrier blocks

Especially now, with the wyvern mount being in the game, I think it'd be fair to remove some of the barriers between regions, i.e. the mountains separating Gavel from the ocean. The Silent Expanse also comes to mind.

Some barriers are necessary, like the ones stopping us from breaking out of the map. I'd also include the ones separating Fruma in that list. Barriers explained by the lore, too.

From here on is mostly an opinion piece. When I'm playing an open world, I want to be able to just go anywhere. I want to climb that mountain. I want to fly over it on my mount. Exploring the map is cool, even if sometimes there's not much to see. I've spent several hours searching the ocean mountainside because of that, finding shipwrecks and summoned ocean trolls and everything else in between. I might stumble across an area 50 levels before i should, but that just makes it more exciting for me.
I know it's not a high priority since there's probably only like 10 other people who treat games the same as me, but I'd love to see it happen nonetheless.

Gavel ocean border sure, but SE, like Fruma, is meant to be blocked off from being explored until you meet the prerequisites

 

Yeah, i agree. I more meant the random barrier blocks inside of SE, since there are a lot of times (especially when lootrunning) when i've run into barriers
