Clearly if you think supports are useless solo you have never met Zenyatta from overwatch. Though I definitely agree that wynncraft is meant to be beaten mostly solo (???, bob's tomb, and for many people EO are exeptions) this class does seem like a good blend of support and damage especially if there was a major ID that could let them focus more on support and one to let them focus more on damage.

It might work as a class but i feel like it should at least use a harp instead of a guitar, making the names for the normal items something more like 'stone-hewn harp' and maybe also make the movement spell... a bit less like escape, which is pretty much exactly the same...

how do you think the harp would work with regular attacking? Would it make the class more ranged or is it like bashing zombies on the head with a harp?

I feel like the harp would be used as a ranged weapon, as though you're 'shooting' the notes at the mobs, but it would have a short range, so the projectile would go something like 2-4 blocks (though there could potentially be a major id that increases the range?)

Maybe the weapons could be different instruments depending on the element.

I've seen that on another class suggestion, but I wasn't sure how it worked for every class already in-game so I didn't really think about it. I could add something like that, maybe a flute for air, but it would have to be something easily carried so players still get to hit their enemies instead of throwing notes at them.

    Minecraft:
Earth: bass (a bit heavy, but could probably work if you did it well)
Thunder: Violin (violins can play sharp notes that associate with lightning i guess? idk)
Water: Harp (or conch shell perhaps? That would mean rainbow could have the harp)
Fire: Horn (you know, like the one Boromir had from LotR? like a horn for a call to battle?)
Air: Flute (as you said, seems to work)
Neutral: Lute (a classic instrument for a bard, seems to fit well)
Rainbow: Trumpet (suggested by baby poseidon, not sure about this one, might give it the harp)

    also

Personally i think it's better if they do actually attack the enemies with notes, i cant imagine a bard whacking their treasured instrument that they have practised for so long on the head of a rotted corpse...
Just give the notes low range and it would still be a melee class because it has such small range (oops repetitive)

I'm not sure if I like the harp still, but I'm not sure what it would be replaced with (reed pipes?). The harp could potentially be rainbow, and I like the other ideas. I'll probably update my suggestion soon. If the instruments are all different like that, it would make more sense to have short-range notes.

Also, when I said guitar, I did mean lute; I just wasn't sure what it was called so um

It's worth noting that a bass (guitar) doesn't really fit the theme considering that the default weapon is a lute, so maybe an archlute or theorbo would be better. Also instead of a harp you could use a lyre since those are actually portable, but if you don't like that kind of instrument for water I don't know what you could choose. Furthermore, a bard is someone who sings or recites poetry, so wind instruments are off the table if you want to keep to that definition. Speaking of wind instruments, the horn hardly seems like a very bard-like instrument, though I'm not sure if it could be replaced by anything and you should remember that the current metal flutes we know are a very recent invention, so a wooden transverse flute or an entirely different type of flute (as in the family of instruments, not the individual instrument) would fit better within Wynncraft's aesthetic.

About the thread itself, I think your spell names are really strange and don't fit at all. Smash Hit isn't exactly a term you'd think of when speaking of bards, but I'm not sure on any replacement. Highest Note could easily be replaced with something like Overtone and Musical Staff could be called something like Arpeggio.

I think that many instruments might make modelling hard, talking about @Wynnonymous ' suggestion.

Also bard should be like THIS

what? as of now, every class has a total of i think... 19? 20? 21? somewhere in that range weapon models
    not even counting weapon skins

each element (earth, thunder, water, fire, air, and even rainbow) gets 3 tiers of weapons, with each building upon the last (in theory). also there are the normal weapon textures, but idk if those have 3 tiers

Yes and no. The weapons for Mage is a wand. It's a stick with sometimes different toppers. Totems all share the same base with additional 'fluff' covering it. Spears share the same base, bows share similar bases, and crossbows share similar bases. My point being, it is one base and they work off that. At least that is what it appears to be, seeing as how many of the wands have super similar shapes, and different coloring.

These are DIFFERENT instruments. They are all shaped different from each other so they need to make a base for each.

So seven base models for one class compared to one or two per class? Thats what I mean. And if I'm wrong a modeler current or Ex can correct, but they don't appear to be so different from each other that you can't tell what someone's class is when looking at them without them casting/talking.

Once again, I could be 100% wrong, but I'm slightly sure I'm correct.

yes, other classes have more similarity between weapons (well, assassin... kind of? warrior... kind of?), but all classes have the same number of models, and since they are all different enough that i would assume that modeling all of them is pretty close to starting from scratch

i don't think it would fit into wynncraft, also that's really annoying that people saw that CT added a new class, and a lot of people started creating new classes

Why wouldn't it fit? many RPG's have Bards and it works as a class.
