We recently had a spambot posting multiple threads in General Suggestions.
This needs to happen.

I know that you can't post links if you have under ten posts. That is probably done with spambots in mind.

 

Spambots don't just post links directly all the time, sometimes they show off products, sometimes they have links that look like this www(dot)something(dot)com to bypass the system.

Hey can you stick a poll on this because I would love to see the wiki and forums get captchas
I'm going through and marking the wiki spambot ads for deletion right now and I swear I've done like 100 already

 

I have a feeling that these "Spambots" are real people though

Doubt it. There's something like a lot of stuff. Even with copy paste it's unlikely. I mean, it may even be possible if it was one company. But it's almost like its coordinated. I've seen at least 5 or 6 different companies spamming us. (Ironically a few of them are anti-virus companies)

 

With effort it's possible.

 

All the evidence points to spam bots.....but I suppose it's possible....

 

Then again, they're all female from New York.
