I personally think the title is already a full enough explanation of this proposal. Use junk items like ToA shards, untradeable items, one-per-class items (Corrupted Treasure lol), enchant powders, etc., etc. and turn them into something more useful. Maybe you can give a water bottle and some ingredients to a specific brewer to get a random potion based on the ingredients you gave - stuff like that. I think it'd just give some of these items more usage than just "complete that quest then I can throw this away." I'm not going to solidify any numbers for it because that's something up to the developers ;p

example:

You have a water bottle, blaze powder, and Green Powder I.

You hand these ingredients to a special Alchemist in certain towns (detlas, almuj, nemract, etc.), and in turn receive a Strength potion with randomized potency (level 1,2, or 3) and duration(3-5 minutes).

We're already getting "Useful Potions" in Gavel, but it would be nice to see some kind of alchemy system. Maybe there'd be a menu that we could access from a Brewing Stand, and we'd require specially bought bottles?

No proof because some1 *not pointing fingers* cleared out forums.

I can't consider that as actual proof, but we'll have to see if you were right.

Like BananaGamer said not all junk items are tradable. And what if you are playing alone? Archer will still have speed but no strength or resistance.
I think potion making is a great idea and it will give un-tradable items more use.
