This is a really good idea, there could also be some monsters that have a 0.1-1% chance of dropping a book, and book merchants you can sell books to, and they would sell 1 random book per week.
    Oh no I necroed this

I propose that, since writing enough books to make this plausible would take the GMs an enormous amount of work, we get the community to write some, and have the GMs instead choose the few that don't mention Bloomi, add a whole ton of nonsensical lore, take too many liberties, spend more than 10% of the text praising the author or...

Actually it would probably just be easier to write them...

Make it a MOB DROP, not a book drop. That makes it so you, well, have to work a bit. Also, a nice prize every once in a while when you are leveling up.

Listen, this first one is great, and I have no problems with.
But, without even trying, people can learn lore. The real only way to learn lore without doing quests is having discoveries like libraries, and without the wiki or the forums, just imagine having to do those on your own. By making them a small percent chance of mob drops instead of spamming the books (which is MORE BORING THAN GRINDING), you actually have to try for these books a bit and can't set up an automatic clicker (also, the devs purposely make it hard to find lore, that way they don't have to write as much lore on things).

Great idea! But one little change... maybe you should increase the chance of getting a book, basically (and mathematically) you have 4/100 chance of getting a book? Really... I am NOT GOING AROUND right-clicking stacks hundreds of "bookstacks".

Maybe like a 5-15 % chance is better (or more).
