It's really annoying fighting a boss then dying and be forced to travel a long distance to get back. If you die without soul points you only get 20 seconds to pick up your stuff before it goes poof. RIP.

Well, if you have 2 or less soul points you shouldn't try to fight again

Reguardless if you are going to get your stuff back or not if you are the healer of the group you need to be able to get back quickly or risk everyone dying before the boss is killed risking an item for yourself.

You can still make it so they have to wait a few seconds before their respawn DEPENDING how close the new respawn is to the area. It's just that there are places you can -not- get to alone for example bobs tomb. You need three people to open it. Having one person die and another would have to leave the room and make the long trek back where the last guy remaining is. Which if he's a tank yea he can survive, but how much progress is lost? There are plenty of bosses that are glitchy to the point that if a warrior tank uses RLR RIP the boss goes in the wall and sometimes that happens with uppercut. If they can't actually use their abilities without the risk of redoing the WHOLE fight over then for every second that passes progress for that boss is lost and they might as well just start over with more supplies. In most cases the bosses aren't exactly hard it's having to grind the same one over and over trying to get a drop that should be 100% to every person in the room that have been there. Widdling down that parties resourses some people actually do quests as soon as they come available for their level they most likely won't survive multiple fights in a small party of 2 or 3 because of their lack of health or having to fight it multiple times because it gets stuck in the wall like I said before which can happen to other classes and not just warrior(which imo if the boss is in an area where he shouldn't be he should just instantly die and respawn back into the room it's not like they would get the drop anyway from it being there). If someone says "That's when you use /shout to get more help" or anything like that, what exactly is the insentive of redoing the quest with people you've never met before/you've already done the quest(so you won't get that reward) and you won't even get shared exp anymore even if you are in their party. I've seen people only help others if there was a price tag next to it. If I ever needed to call out for outside help I would perfer if they got the exp bonus rather than charging everyone in the party money for their services..

    Ye, but...
What if you are too weak and just can't kill the boss?
You'll stay stuck in the offmap build, without any way out. We (the CT) had few similar ideas to your, but they player should always be able to /kill and tp back to the real map.

You could get back to the normal world with a teleporter next to the bossroom/quest npc?

The big problem with this is the way spawn systems work. They detect the nearest town you visited to. This means that if you were to die in any off-map area without a boss, you might respawn in front of a totally unrelated quest. It's a great idea but unless the developers change how respawns work this simply cannot happen.
