World A Change For Cataclysm

Gimme a little while I'll search wynnapps see if I can make a build. (im crap at that tho)

 

In addition, most thunder/fire weapons are based not a lot on boosting melee damage, instead employing poison, exploding, and life steal mostly. Which means it once again fails to support the build that Cataclysm's effectiveness is maximized with, in raw statistical terms.

 

Really the only way I can see this being remotely useful in anything other than 1-shotting mobs sometimes is if you have an alternate weapon and huge HP regen. Or lots of life steal.

 

If cataclysm is used correctly (thunder/agi build) then rip all builds that will get 1 shot by cataclysm C;

 

And what of PvE scenarios? A rapid-fire archer, or a group of enemies? You'll be entirely useless against them simply due to the fact that one solid hit will kill you outright.

 

In PvE scenarios of course it will be useless, i admit that it would be trash in PvE Scenarios. BUT, in PvP scenarios its really good if you know how to play with assassin in general. And yes, was reffering to PvP.

Btw, i think cataclysm should have an higher level requirement, like 98 or 99.

You'll have awful element defenses, closer to 9000 health, and your skill points will be spread too thinly for your strength, defense, and agility to really factor in. In addition, many of these items clash, particularly the Beetle Aegis reducing your skill points and the Mana Steal from the items cancelling itself out. Finally, your elemental defenses will be utterly horrid.

There goes a vast majority of your damage boost, and you still won't get that much more benefit anyway.

 

Will the thunder archetype and Az get buffed again?

 

Max is -5200 health

 

Just think of it this way, DO A DEFENSE THUNDER BUILD. I did the math if you use greaves of veneer, Scorpio, hetusol and sparkling visor(hive helmet) you have over 10k hp and a ton of thunder damage boost as well. (That is of course taking into max hp on greaves of veneer and cataclysm) this build alone is pretty good imo and I would use this if I got a cataclysm just because it is a tanky damage dealer which is very good

 

or you can go full elemental def with it and still have like 10k hp but remain with insane damage
this dagger has enough damage as a tank it will still do insane damage and not get one shot

That build might look like it has good hp on paper, but you need high dex to use this weapon, I really don't see how so many people can use this weapon right now. BTW Greaves of the Veneer require strength, and strength/dexterity don't mix well together, your walk speed also will not be great. You are also not gonna get a max hp cataclysm, and most of the time you wont get max hp GoV

 

Then the weapon will just turn to shit, assassin needed a weapon like this. (imo of course)

 

If people want a glass cannon build, they can just use other gear to be glass cannons, like Ventus Tail or Static Charged Greaves, and I think -4000hp is overboard with any item.
